Nice little detector for use in my 3D printing
I have this installed in my 3D printing enclosure to monitor things when printing over night or unattended. It is small and compact enough to mount inside the 3d printer enclosure and provides us with the peace of mind to sleep at night.

This product is flawed
I installed this smoke detector on March 8 and it failed today, March 19, when it wouldn't stop beeping no matter what I did. It has what is advertised as a 10 year battery. The device is activated when it is mounted to the separate base. Removing the device from the base disables the device forever. That is what I had to do to make the damn thing stop beeping. That is the flaw in this thing. This was actually the second of these devices I received from Amazon. The first came mounted to the base and had obviously been returned. It was DOA, as they say.

Do not trust Amazon used like new status
Amazon lied that these were used "like new". These had been installed, abused and the mounting plates are all scratched up or snapped. These also do not seem very reliable smoke detectors and would not reccomend.
