L'Hirondelle French Fresh Yeast 12 x 42g Blocks

It's fresh, it's active and it makes an excellent loaf of bread. It arrives with a cooling pack and always within a few days of placing the order. There are twelve 42gram cubes in the pack and that gives me enough for 18 loaves of bread, before I order some more. I use 4 fresh from the pack on arrival and freeze 8. They have a few hours at room temperature to bring them back to life and they then behave as if they were fresh from "Bonbouffe". I have been using this yeast for many years now since it is impossible to buy it locally. Highly recommended.

Great product. I’ve been buying this fresh yeast for a while now for my breads. I keep it in the freezer and usually cut a piece (8g) that is needed and return the rest in the freezer. It keeps well. It smells like yeast should smell and it works great both in hand kneading breads as well as bread machines (put in the bottom of your bread machine followed by dry ingredients). Very pleased with this product and would recommend it.

Excellent. You can freeze it for a few months but not more.

The yeast recently delivered have very short time of usage.

The only yeast I ever use for bread making

I have been buying this for awhile and the quality is usually very good but the use by dates are getting shorter this last order is just over 2 weeks .
