I ordered this as I liked the way it looked and know that it would make a great necklace for someone but in person it looks even better.The turquoise just sticks out and seems to illuminate the tree of life in the front of it.This locket is a bit tough to open unless you have good fingernails but they did include what looks like a guitar pick to open it.There is a spot on both sides to put a very small memento or picture (what I am going to put in it).The necklace is pretty small and seems to be fairly easy to bust or break if there was a lot of force on it, but it isn't any more flimsy than your standard necklace.Overall, this looks great and I am really impressed by it. It would be great gift for someone special in your life and comes in a ready to present box. I would recommend opening it up and pulling everything out of the plastic bags so it looks more presentable when opened before giving it to someone as a gift.
