My son loves these shoes. Unfortunately they are not true to size. All my son’s shoes are size 1. These are a 1 a bit too big.

What was good:• The colors are suitable for school wear, while the pattern is dynamic and interesting to the child.• Our 7 year old boy says they are comfortable, and he’s been wearing them sometimes.• The material is a soft polyester type fabric mesh with plastic molded decorative pieces.• Because kids don’t learn how to tie shoes as young these days… Shoes are not really tied, rather some faux shoestring with a Velcro closure.So, what’s so-so or not good:• The quality of these shoes is below average compared to other kids shoes. With 2 boys around this age we are buying shoes relatively often. These aren’t so good. The material is thinner and you can see the construction is more basic. The retainer ring for the Velcro closure strap is a lightweight metal oval-rectangle. I’m not sure these will last very long.• After being worn for a little over a month, the heels are wearing down and the plastic colored flame design applique has almost completely come off the side of one shoe.• These shoes are lightweight and that’s good for the Summer. If you live in colder climates, these are not going to make it as Winter shoes. The feet will get cold quickly. Rain or snow is a no go.This boy is a few months over 7 years old as I write this, slim and above average height. The size 2 shoe is a good fit for him at this time. My son has been waiting so patiently for his feet to grow enough to wear these so they weren't so loose. these are his favorite and shows them off to everyone everywhere. durable and easy to clean
