Q: Will this work with Otterbox defender?

I dont see why not? It is the size if the screen! Not tio sure of your question? I di not have an Otterbox. I have a clear plastic cover and this screen protector and my phone is fine

Q: Why does the entire screen turn blue when it is under sunlight? Is the screen reflecting the blue light from outside back at me?

If you read about the protector, there is blue in there to help protect your eyes from the screen if I remember correctly, that's also why I purchased it

Q: Do I have to use the metal frame with it?

It’s a plastic frame and you don’t have to use it but it does help align your screen protector as your putting it on the phone
