Great cameras and excellent video quality
I purchased this product a few months ago, by mid November. It was easy to install, and the cameras have been working perfectly. The video quality is great, and the night vision is excellent. I had issues with the battery draining too fast in one of the cameras, but it was solved by adjusting the solar panel to capture more sunlight. On rainy or cloudy days they still charge although it’s a bit slower, but nothing to worry about. The Wi-Fi signal capability is very good also, one of the cameras is far from the router and I was surprised that it got the signal pretty good (one bar though, but enough to work perfectly). I had another issue with one of the cameras that the battery drained suddenly during the night even though there were no unusual events that night. It was solved after unmounting and charging the camera with the provided USB cable for a few hours. After that lone incident it continued to work perfectly. Customer service is excellent, they answered really fast and helped me with hints on how to solve my issue. So, I’m happy over all with the product and the service.

Coverage like a bank or Kwik-E-Mart
Replaced a different brand of "AI enhanced" cameras that failed frequently and were very unreliable with notifications (and required a cloud subscription) and always failed to provide a live view when really needed. Only a week in, so I will update if things change, but at this point I am very satisfied and impressed: • The picture is amazing • Night vision is very good • Notification areas work very, very well; able to block the street and other areas of no interest from Motion detection so few false events. • Notifications arrive very quickly (and have been reliable) • The range is amazing (I have two sets - two base stations - one for the front yard and one for the back); one camera is about 150' from a base and it works perfectly (Live view in SD mode... picture stutters in UHD mode, but records in UHD). • Installation was easy (I was able to mount several on the brackets from the old cameras) • The solar panels are keeping them fully charged • No subscription necessary!! Base stores recordings. • A week in and both base stations register almost no memory use with lots of "events" captured • The "combined" feature is great: follows the same target from camera to camera • Unlike the other junky cameras (check my reviews for who made those), these guys go to Live vision every time I have tried so they actually provide security when something goes bump in the night.

Decent app, nice quality. Mostly good. (Has one real weakness.)
I used to have a Blink system, which was a good intro into having home cameras but really quite terrible with latency and connection issues, but when I upgraded my home router to an Eero Mesh, using Blink became impossible. After considering many other systems, I went with AOSU, and was pretty amazed right away at the jump in quality compared to Blink for being in the same price point ballpark. I have two of these outdoor cameras, which came with solar. One of them recharges itself flawlessly. The other in an area with less sun was gradually losing battery power at a net loss day by day, so I eventually used a USB C charging cable through the wall to give it constant power, and now it thinks it's 'charging' all the time. The app is pretty clean and easy to work with. I also picked up two AOSU indoor 360 degree cameras, which synced up with the app just fine, and those are awesome. The syncing isn't COMPLETELY cut and dry though. The two outdoor units connect to a home base center, which is plugged directly into the router where my modem is. The two indoor 360 cameras don't sync with the base; they just communicate with the app directly. Kind of weird and sloppy that the systems don't all work together in the same way, but it's okay. I did mention one weakness. The base unit that hooks into the router must be hooked directly into the router. It can't stand on its own wirelessly like you'd think it should. Which means that if the router is a decent distance from the cameras outside, there might be connection weakness. I had that problem once where I couldn't connect to the cameras on the app, and that's when I realized that I wouldn't be able to relocate the base unit to a better location. But it hasn't been much of a problem. Hardly ever. Overall this is pretty good for the price.

Pretty good..but mounting not universal
I give 5 stars for overall product and support/ customer service, 3 stars for mounting. Bought the wide angle 2 cam set due to my small space. I tried various locations to get suitable wifi signal and coverage. So far things look good. The only issue I had was both cameras right out ot the box only showed 58% battery. Which was not a big deal. 1 charged ok on solar. The other one never got above 58%. It started loosing capacity. So I charged it in the house and put back out. So far 3 days and it is staying charged. Setup was vary easy. Picture quality is really good. Had to play with zone settings to get more coverage.. All in all pretty good for the price and I like the home base storage I give 3 stars for lack of mounting possibilities. I have found that it has to be on a vertical surface for best camera angle placement/adjustment. The mount that comes with the camera does not allow for universal situations. Mounting on the underside of the soffit is not the best solution. Especially if your house has gutters. 11-22-25 rcvd a replacement camera due to battery and solar panel issue. I gave 5 stars for Customer support and tech support is great.

Quality for the money and customer service to match
I wanted to replace my old unreliable security camera system and came across the Aosu brand. I initially purchased the four camera setup to see how well they worked. I have been very pleased with these solar cameras especially with the variety of setup options you get. They are super easy to install and get going and I finally get clear, realtime alerts. Both nighttime and daytime picture quality is good. I did have an issue with one of the cameras that stopped charging completely. I called Aosu customer service and they went through the troubleshooting process with me but the camera still wouldn't charge. Long story short, they quickly sent me a new replacement camera which I think says a lot about good customer service. I now have six of their cameras.

Easy install and setup
Some of the reviews complained about the complex setup. This over 60 year old man only had to 1) not get ahead of myself, and 2) read all the instructions. I purchased the four camera pro system and 5 MP video doorbell. Setting up the doorbell is a no-brainer, but you do have to be patient and setup close to your wireless access point. The app download and account setup was a breeze. The network setup for the doorbell is simple, if you read the instructions. Installing/mounting the doorbell was a snap. Next was the homebase and camera setup. Here's where I got full of myself and had to repeat things after reminding myself to slow down and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. It only took a couple of minutes to setup the home base, then a other minute or two per camera. The only problem I had was with the fourth camera. It goes through the setup process, but never gets past the last step where it pairs with the homebase. After having setting up the other three, I'm fairly certain it is a hardware problem and not a PEBKAC issue, and will have to contact vendor support for that. I'll co.e back and update this review with that experience later. The attached picture are the three cameras and doorbell in use. Everything works, and the camera batteries are charging just fine. I have signed up for the cloud service. I'd give the night vision 4.5 stars for now, there was a full moon, cloudless sky, a few dozen lightning g bugs, and some low ground fog last night. It still found the warning label on the phone pedestal 100 feet away last night despite all that. Having said all that, I must remind you that YMMV. UPDATE, 18 OCT 2025: AOSU customer and Tech Support were great. There was a delay in communications at first, but patience and overcoming the time difference payed off. When we got to talking and exchanged an email or two I was able to properly troubleshoot and get my camera replaced with no other issues. I installed these cameras in July 2024. Today, the units are still working great, just like when they were installed, even the one I mounted on the flag pole. Other than when the sun wasn't out for days at a time, I've not had any issues with the solar panels or charging. The flag pole mounted camera is mounted to watch the mailbox next to the road; traffic keeps it very active so it lasts about 3 days before it stops working, but when the sun comes back out, it will charge, reconnect and go back to work just fine.

Clear vision
The cameras are good quality and adjustability. Value for money as well. It records well. It sends you notifications for every motion detected. If you get the four cameras, it connects all together with no problems.

Reliable and Practical
Affordable, solar-powered, no mandatory subscription, and overall practical. I’ve been using the AOSU solar camera for a while now and I really like how simple and hassle-free it is. Since it’s solar powered, I don’t have to think about charging at all - it just works, which keeps things easy. It’s also very affordable and doesn’t require a monthly subscription, which was a big reason I chose it. You still get all the important features without paying ongoing fees. The motion detection zones are easy to set up and customize, so I only get alerts for the areas I actually care about. The video quality is clear day and night, and the two-way audio with the microphone and speaker works well for things like deliveries or checking in when I’m not home. Setup was quick, the app is straightforward, and overall it’s a reliable camera that doesn’t overcomplicate things. I’ve already recommended it to friends, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable security camera with no mandatory subscription fees.

The AOSU 5MP/3K Solar Security Camera is easy to set up and the video quality is great. The solar panel is a big plus because it keeps the camera powered without needing to constantly charge it. The best feature for me is the free storage and no monthly subscription. Definitely a solid choice for home security and you’re able to see the live feed quickly.

Good image quality; an affordable security camera
I bought this set of cameras to cover the front of the house. I have not activated the alarm or notifications since it would disturb me and people as the camera will record whenever a car or pedestrian passes on the street. The purpose of these camera is to complete the camera system I have already covering the doors. In case of a break-in or vandalism, it's always good to check where the threat was coming from which car they used, etc. I have not yet installed the second camera (temporarily installed inside the house) since it's winter. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: - affordable - strong WiFi connection - wide field of view - highly configurable with a well designed app (tested on iOS) - recorded sound is quite good (I have not tested two way) - installation with the help of the app was very easy; the base recognized both cameras immediately. Cons: - Solar panel is small and not very efficient right now (winter) so I need to lower the unit power consumption. - Why the detection does not work through a window? It seems the movement sensor is always needed as opposed to some cameras using software movement detection enabling through glass detection. - Detection on the sides is not always working; but I guess this will improve when the second camera is installed. - The app software could be improved. For example, although I put the notifications to OFF, and I disabled the cross-camera feature, when screening video events it groups events as if both cameras had cross-camera enabled. I did not have the opportunity to test all features and I will update this review later this spring when both cameras are installed to cover all fields of view. For me this is a good camera at a reasonable price. -
