I played right hand guitar for years, but now i want to learn to play left hand , this book is verygood as it is for left hand. So if you are left handed buy this book.

The author explains the cords, how to hold your guitar and the pictures helps. I played classical guitar music before with the right handed Guitar. The left handed Guitar is no different by practicing, the only difference the chords are reverse this will take time get use to read left handed Notes. I love the book and I’m glad that I purchased no regrets.

It got me going in the right direction, and that’s all I was looking for.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this book because of the reviews on having to relearn everything back to right hand. But that is not the truth. It's an awesome book to learn all the cords and how to learn how to play. Notes are notes so if you learn left handed then you need this book to get started. When you actually start playing music they just have music notes on the page and those are the same right or left handed. If you're like me and are a visual learner this book is a must. It's just way easier then having to learn the guitar and read a from a righty book and do everything backwards. At least learn the basics from this lefty book, cords, notes, scales, etc and then you will be set to learn whatever else you want, this book is for beginners. A must for lefties!!!

This is a pretty good starter book. You'll definitely want to consider taking classes if you want to go much farther, but this book is a very good start. I got this for my niece and she got a good amount out of it, and what she couldn't get from the book alone, i was able to help her with. It's a pretty good book but its only an introduction to playing. The songs inside are simple, but they convey their lessons well usually.

I am looking forward to using this book to teach my grandson the guitar. From what I've seen so far the book will be very helpful. I was upset with the delivery of the book though because the label was addressed to me or the current resident. If I would of moved they would not of forwarded a book I paid for. That is not the way to address an item that was ordered and pre-paid.

I am taking guitar lessons from a righty and he just wasn't understanding the difficulty I was having as a lefty with a right handed book. He was amazed at what he saw when I brought this method book, and finally understood. He had never taught a lefty before or played with one, ever. I needed this book to keep me with this particular instructor...I like his attitude and now I like his new orientation for me, the beginner.

This book is great. I am learning very slowly but I am 47 with the brain of a 65 year old. The book starts from the basics of tuning through learning each string and note individually to actual chords. I am on the 4th string and getting to grips with getting the notes on the page through to my fingers. Hard but enjoyable and ultimately an achievement for me. Hal Leonard books have my approval.

No good, doesn't come with access to any audio so even if you were playing it right, you'd never know.
