does not work
I bought this for my daughter with the understanding that it was a "hobby"-type metal detector. I understood from other reviews and product description that it would take some time to get it set up. I had read very mixed reviews, but decided to give it a try as it was not intended for anything but fun. After following the instructions for tuning very closely over several hours and 2 days, we decided to return it as it did not work at all. Should have believed other reviewers and spent more money to get a gift that worked.

Great for a starter metal detector
Great for a starter metal detector. IT does take some study on dialing in what you are looking for as well as what you do not want to find. But my husband was truly surprised to receive it and he and our son are having a blast learning to use it.
