I think it works - beware the wire colors
So the plate itself is great. I don't know why so many homes come with ugly beige outlet covers that just get more and more yellow over time. I installed this in about 5 minutes. The most difficult part was making sure that the wires matches between the old phone outlet and this one. The wiring on both the original and new had the same colors but were in a different order on the new one. So I just had to be careful to match up the wires from the wall to go to the terminal on the cover that matched the original as they were in different places. Otherwise this is a basic telephone jack outlet and cover and is easy to install. Is a couple dollars a deal? Not really but buying in bulk is only a deal if you're replacing two homes worth of these things. But that said, I'm not really missing the $2 I spent to replace the old jack.

Nice Quality!
I was unable to find this "vintage" item at my local hardware stores. This is a true standard size and fit a tight spot.

Standard phone jack
Was easy to install, just match up the colored wires. Not sure if it actually works as we don’t have a landline, but the old one was broke when we moved in so I replaced it. Not a heavy duty plate, you could easily crack it if tightened down too much, I think that is what happen with the previous one.

Telephone wall plate
Since not many people have hard line phones in their homes nowadays; it was nice to be able to go online to buy this. I went to 3 stores locally and couldn't find the right wall plate. I had to have an electrician install it, since I have an older home and my wires weren't the same color as the plate. Plus, the screws were too short, making it difficult for the electrician to screw in the plate. Eventually he got a longer screw from his truck.

I was putting in an additional telephone, jack throughout the house and the wiring in this plate is not connected well and wired incorrectly
