Oh my WOW! I ordered this thinking it might be a better option for morning lemon water than buying fresh lemons and having half of them go bad before I could use them... It was shocking to me how delicious this was when I just added hot water. Literally shocking. When I have done morning lemon water in the past, it's usually so bitter that I really have to try hard to drink it all. Even with adding a couple of drops of liquid Stevia, it would just be so bitter that it was not enjoyable. This is not that experience! I look forward to making my lemon water every morning with this stuff! Not just tolerating it, but enjoying it! At first, I thought it seemed pretty pricey, but I have purchased other products of Anthony's and was impressed with them, so the familiar name convinced me to give it a try. It doesn't take much to make my 6 ounces of lemon water, so I think the bag will last me quite awhile, making the cost reasonable. And because it is freeze dried, the nutrient content is nearly unchanged from that of fresh lemons. I'm looking forward to using it in things like cheesecake or lemon bars, because it is just very versatile. It's a 10/10 for me, I would definitely recommend!!

It was not very lemony. Maybe I thought it would taste like lemons but it does not really. It is a bit bland but with some sugar i think it would be fine. I have several products from this company and like everything so I think I was just looking for a fresher lemon taste for margaritas.

This lemon powder is great! Tastes like lemon, mixes into hot tea like a dream, does not clump, is definitely worth the time and the money! Love it!

Second revised review, further downgraded to a 2-star product (I think I originally gave this a 5-star review based on the first bag). I just finished the 3rd of three bags, and will not be ordering this again. I really liked the first bag (presumably same batch, but didn't check the bag numbers before I threw it out and opened the 2nd bag). It was fine crystals, but the 2nd and 3rd bags were the finest powder possible, and as stated in my first revised review, it all sticks together rather than easily dissolving, unlike the first bag (possibly a different batch). After three bags of this, despite really needing and wanting a good lemon addition to my water intake each day, I will not buy any more of this product. The taste is very, very mild - almost subtle - and mixing it is a pain! I really, really wanted to like this, and would be committed to it if the 2nd and 3rd bags were identical to the first one. But if I can't count on consistency in the product and more lemon taste (the word "tart" doesn't even apply to the taste!). I'll be sampling at the grocery store for a while, and then see if it's available on Amazon once I find something worth using consistently. Very, very disappointed. I may just have to accept the cost of fresh lemons and buy them every few days. But surely someone can do better than this without a lot of preservatives and other chemicals, and get reasonably close to real lemon taste plus easy mixing - like the first of the three original bags I purchased on Amazon. [First revision follows below] I ordered three bags of this, but my review was based on the first bag. That review is copied below. However, the 2nd bag was a big disappointment. The first bag used had very fine crystals in it, and it dissolved very easily. The 2nd bag is as fine a powder as they could manufacture. Drop it into a glass of water and stir it, and it binds together in a somewhat gooey mess that is much harder to dissolve, even in room temperature water. Try it in cold water, and forget it! I still love the product once it's dissolved (I combine it with a flavored electrolyte product to change the taste a bit). But it's a lot more work to get it dissolved. I've had to begin putting the glass of water in the microwave to heat it up (we use filtered, not straight tap water) to a fairly warm temperature in order to get it to dissolve properly. If this was the consistency of the original bag, the original review below would still stand as a 5-star product. I expect to continue purchasing the product, unless I can find a different organic product, OR the company goes back to producing the more crystalized product that doesn't clump together immediately upon being put in a glass of water to dissolve it. (That first bag was like a very fine crystalized sugar consistency, but the 2nd bag is more like powdered sugar in consistency, and it just sticks together in a way that doesn't allow easy dissolving.) Unfortunately, I'd already thrown the first empty bag away before opening and using the 2nd bag, so I don't know if they were all from the same manufacturing lot number (the 2nd and 3rd bags are from the same lot, so I can at least expect this same extremely fine powder consistency, along with its problems as described above). [Original review follows below] This truly adds a very accurate lemon flavor, because it's 100% powdered lemon juice - nothing added. I'll have to hope the "organic" description is accurate, since it is a Chinese product. We've found all kinds of uses for this, though I personally add it to a daily electrolyte powder that I mix with water, and it changes the taste from the advertised taste to a new combination of the original taste plus what I'd expect from perhaps a tablespoon of lemon juice added to the roughly 12 oz. or so of liquid. The electrolyte powder comes in multiple flavors, and this allows an additional variation on them - very nice. My wife has used it in some cooking she's done, with excellent results. I am reluctant to give 5-star ratings to products - they need to be what I consider the "best of the best," but this product is truly that. Highly recommended. Fresh lemons don't store well - this dry powdered lemon juice certainly does store well, eliminating waste or loss over time. I just purchased a 2nd bag of this product, and it has about a 1½ year shelf life, so no worry about wasting money on fresh lemons that only last a limited period of time before they spoil. Read the back of the bag on one of the view panels of the Amazon product page for all the possible uses - this is a highly versatile product. It's from freeze dried organic lemon juice. My first bag was out of curiosity, but I didn't think twice about purchasing a 2nd bag as the first one became almost empty. This will be a must-have product in our household going forward - excellent taste, highly economical, great for storage or daily use.
