ABS Switch Fit for FJ Cruiser 2007-2022 Traction Control - Offroad Switch

Works great to disable ABS. However, it also disabled my trailer pins and also caused a evap code because it was disabling my charcoal canister pump somehow. In terms of ABS deactivation it’s 10/10 but due to the issues I will be rating it a 1 star

It works on 2008 FJ Cruiser, followed the instructions, only needed one cable, didn’t have to use the short one. The only problem, is that the switch doesn’t fit, so I ordered one from CH4X4, still waiting for it, but the set works perfectly fine, it does whats it’s supposed to do. Would recommend to anyone who need this feature when using 4Hi on the sand or steep dirt-rocky hills.

I have a 2007 Toyota Fj cruiser. Very easy plug-and-play system, but I had to leave the small connector off for the system to work. After about 10 miles of driving with my new fancy switch, it started throwing a bunch of error codes and everything stopped working properly. Had to bench the switch for now until I find some information on how to fix this issue. I love the idea, wonder why it doesn’t work properly

I have a 2013 Fj and it worked for about a day then check engine light came on and traction control wouldn't go back on. Had to disconnect and reset

Appears to do what is promises. On the early FJ cruisers there is no button to disable the traction /abs systems. This kit provides 2 cables. After an exchange with the company it appears that some years need both, some only need one. In my case I installed both and it didn’t work. Lights all stayed on. I removed the short wire (the one that goes to the blue 4wd computer) and all was well. The long cable plugs into the top right socket on the board behind the driver side kick panel (see picture) and then plug the original cable into the extension, so the switch is now in the middle. On my 2007 fj I found the switch was slightly too wide no modified the hole by trimming the plastic very slightly with a hot file and it fits. I can turn the systems off and on with the switch. I noticed if I go 30-40 mph when the switch has the systems disabled then it stays disabled until turning the engine off and on again. No big deal. Else the switch just switches those systems off and on. Nice neat wiring and the switch feels solid enough. Good for the price.

Worked great! UNTIL, i found all my lights coming on and throwing a code for the vent valve solenoid. The harness plug that this switch came with took the wire from the VVS and killed the power to it in the charcoal canister. Had to remove the switch to regain power to the vent valve solenoid.. bit worked great for a few days until that code popped up.

I installed both wire's and it didn’t work. Lights all stayed on.
