Excellent, almost authentic chinese takeaway curry sauce. Medium heat and spicy. Have tried many other different chinese curry sauces but in my opinion this is the best in taste and flavour as well as heat. 10/10 but don’t expect for it to blow your head off hot!

I ordered this as the whole family like the curry sauce from the local Chinese restaurant, and I was hoping this would taste similar, so we could start making our own. It arrived in a very well labelled pack, and it has just about a year till the best before date. The only issue I have with the packaging is that it wasn't resealable. The pack makes a litre of sauce, so if you aren't using that in one sitting, you will need to put the remainder somewhere airtight. It is extremely easy to make, as long as you have a whisk, and it doesn't take more than a few minutes to do. Taste wise its really delicious, it isn't exactly the same as our local Chinese restaurant, but I think it might actually be more to our taste, added to that you can choose the consistency you prefer by adding more powder or more water. Overall I think it's an easy, convenient product, that tastes lovely, the packaging would be better if it was resealable, but the product is so nice that I'm more than happy to recommend it.

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it. I have recently been researching how to make takeaway-style curries at home, in an attempt to improve my health, and save money, so I was particularly drawn to the Harry Harvey mix. For the purposes of the review, I made up a batch to accompany diced chicken, and boiled rice, with no other ingredients. I would say that the pack could potentially provide up to 8 servings - I only required half of that for my family’s meal. It was quick and easy to make, with great results. The flavour was very creamy, with a mild amount of spice. I was a little disappointed to learn that an artificial flavouring has been used in the mix. Fortunately, my child’s behaviour was not adversely affected by it. Regardless, a good value item.
