Rockin'in' Rhythm

Mr Alderighi like his fellow Italian Rossano Sportiello has a a wealth of ideas, perfect swing and a delicate touch on the instrument which is a joy to the ears. His choice of material is excellent and he plays some wonderful jazz compositions by Duke Ellington and Fats Waller and treats us to some of the unjustly forgotten works of the great American songwriters. This is beautifully recorded in Italy.An even better CD is his "Piano Solo" one recorded for Abeat. This pays tribute to more great American songwriters - Hoagy Carmichael, Richard Rodgers, Vincent Youmans and Cole Porter as well as numbers associated with Count Basie, Django Reinhardt, and Jelly Roll Morton. This is also beautifully recorded. Another gem!
