I had another Fullstar Mandoline Slicer from a few years ago and I used it often. Unfortunately, I was not able to make my slices for scalloped potatoes the right thickness and I hated slicing them by hand. This works out perfectly and I can slice anything I want. The potatoes are perfect. Tomatoes also work well. I haven't tried the shredding blades yet but I'm sure they will be great. The case to hold the blades works out well. There was no assemlby. Just take out of box and use. Please use the special glove to not slice off your finger like I did with my last mandoline.

Wow! I am so impressed with this mandoline! I had to replace my Oxo Good Grips mandoline after having it for 25 years. Decided to do some research on Amazon models, and when I looked at the reviews for this item I decided to take a chance since the price was so good. I’m so glad I did! This is heavy duty - much easier to change blades and use than the oxo, easier to clean and store, just all around a terrific value!

This slices with ease. saved me time at dinner as slide slide and done. Great for potatos, and the grib was decent. didnt slide that much. love the different style blades it came with. Easy enought for daughter to use as well

Lightweight and uses less storage space than my old mandoline. Additional blade options, too, but they easily fall out of the cute little open ended storage box . I use masking tape to keep them contained.

Very useful kitchen tool but dangerously sharp! We use it to make Persimmon/apple/orange slices and dehydrate. Well made and after 18 months, still working.

I bought a little mandoline on Amazon a couple years ago and I thought it was good. But the "stainless steel" blades started to rust so it had to be replaced. I chose this mandoline because of the adjustable blades, that it could fold down, and because it came with a safety glove. Holy cow. This madonline is a workhorse that puts my old one to shame. Very sharp, stable, and easy to use... and that glove! I was making a shaved Brussels sprouts salad and had to hold the small sprouts in my fingers when slicing them and that glove worked like a champ! No cuts in the glove or my fingers. My husband has even started using when grating cheese for his weekend nachos instead of scraping his knuckles on the stand-up grater. Very happy!

The gloves are worthless they don't protect anything. It would have been better to not use at all because I wouldn't have had to pull the fabric threads out of the cut. My guess is they are no better than bare skin. The mandolin worked well on onions but a little more difficult with russet potatoes.

It's very easy to use and clean. The blades are easy to inset and remove. I just wish the protective blade holder fit all of the blades so I don't need to keep one blade in the mandolin when storing.

Very impressed - but be careful as also very sharp!!

I've fancied a slicer for ages, and I'm really pleased with this one. It's sharp, done everything I've wanted to do, is easy to adjust and easy to clean. I should have bought it much earlier!!
