Great to have, hope I do not need it
SummaryI picked these up as part of my build your own med kit. Honestly though I found I like to keep it on the side when I am using my table saw. That is one place you would really need it. Any major injury there and you only have roughly 90 seconds to use this or you are a goner.Pro's- Not cheap plastic,- I like the extra's- 2 instead of one so i can practice with one and have the other for an actual emergency.Con's- Not professional grade kit by any meansI did use one of the two for testing. You have to know if it works right just in case you do need it. Also this is one of those things you want to practice so you have some muscle memory in case of a real emergency. Glad they gave me two so I had one for just that. practice. I tried on my arm to start and found that . yep. It does indeed work. Now I am not a huge guy by any means but I am built tough enough and this thing managed to cut the flow of blood just as it should. Turning my arm a nice dark color. (blood restriction at its finest.) I will note if you are testing this out to figure out how it works it will like hurt you are cutting off blood flow after all.I am seriously considering on buy a few more of these and adding them to my cars and trucks as well. I think I would even like to add more to my wood shop around the various tools I use just so I have more than one if ever need.As far as its features I do like the idea of adding the time so I can track when I put it on. and even some of the small things like the straps making it quicker and easier to get it on. By far the number one is NO PLASTIC.I would recommend anyone get these. They do and can save lives.

High Quality, Trustworthy
I can tell by the materials used and the way it's built that this piece is more than reliable and able to be used as part of an "always ready" or "on the go" emergency kit. The only thing is that it's a bit different in terms of how to operate it than most tourniquets and the instructions weren't very specific. If the vendor were to update the manual with a more detailed and thorough instruction in English, I'd be happy to give five stars all across the board.

"Budget" is such a gamble. It's a bargain for 4 training aides.
I have not used one of these in a real-life scenario, yet... and I hope not to. My review is simply based on a comparison between these Bencai TQs and a CAT. For the most part, everything stacks up just fine. The aluminum rod is a nice touch but probably unnecessary if the right plastic was used but I get their marketing approach here. Overall, the materials feel adequate and at the very least, these are great for training. With that said, $25/4 is a bargain. Are you willing to risk your life or the lives of others to save a buck? Maybe they will work, maybe they won't.Look at it this way. If you don't plan to buy a TQ because they are so expensive, then maybe these budget options are right for you - better to have something that might work than nothing at all. However, if you have the means to buy a couple of CAT TQs, then pass on these and get something you know will work in a real-life scenario.

Easy to Use - Lightweight - Effective
This is great that it comes with 2 in a pack, as we’ve needed one to place in our emergency kits (home, car). When we go camping, hiking, or take a trip where services aren’t readily nearby, our emergency kit is stocked full should anything happen. This is a terrific addition to add to it, as you never know what may happen. Especially if you are hiking, biking, etc. with others or going on your own. Thankfully we have never had to use one, but I was able to put it on myself having read the instructions. I liked that the rod is non-slip and was easy to turn to tighten by myself. I have seen others in which the rod is plastic, I question how much grip I would have with a smooth surface. I found this tourniquet to be lightweight, the materials well-made, and the strap long enough to wrap around a big sized thigh. Once it was tightened, I liked that I could tuck it up under the ‘time’ white strap to keep it secure and from loosening. A pen is included in the kit to write down the time you put the tourniquet on. My husband is an ex-military, and he explained you need to track how long a tourniquet is on otherwise you could damage the limb, cause infection, and damage healthy tissues due to the cutoff blood supply. This would make your already bad condition worse. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand, which is a plus if you’ve never seen, used, or practice putting one on. The best part is the rod, which is aluminum, it is light weight and easy to turn to tighten the tourniquet. Each tourniquet is in its own Ziploc-type resealable bag, making it easy to take and waterproof.

Seems like a good budget tourniquet.
This tourniquet seems like a great value. There are instructions included, if you will be staging this tourniquet where folks are not trained, or need a quick reference. It's very cool that the marker is included. I thought it would be an ink pen but it's actually more of a soft-tip marker. The tourniquet seems sturdy and the rod definitely feels like it will be strong when the tourniquet gets deployed. The marker had a little bit of trouble drawing the smiley face in the pictures, but this seems fine. Just need to get the current time that the tourniquet is deployed, so medical professionals can reference it.This seems to have a lot in common with the North American Rescue Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT) which is why have the NAR product pictured here as well. I compared them both and they seem similar. This seems like a budget option if you are interested in picking up a tourniquet!
