🚤 Power your boat launch like a pro—winch smarter, not harder!
The Megaflint Reversible Electric Trailer Winch is engineered for boats up to 6000 lbs, featuring a 12V DC motor with 30% more winching power than typical 6000 lbs winches. It offers dual-mode operation—power-in, power-out, and freewheel—controlled via a 16 ft remote rocker switch. Equipped with a Dyneema synthetic rope that’s 10 times stronger than steel cables of similar diameter, this winch ensures superior strength, flexibility, and quiet operation, making it the go-to choice for professional-grade boat launching and retrieval.

Great product
It works great. I use it to trailer my 16 foot nitro bass boat and it works great. It is a little slow but beats hand cranking. One time to see how well it works I Loaded the boat two thirds on the trailer and pulled it out of water and loaded the boat rear of the way with the winch. Pulled the boat right on the trailer. Very pleased with the purchase.

Don't buy -- UNSAFE
Build quality: I replaced a similar winch called a "Bravex" that lasted only 4 years or so. But it was not terribly expensive so I gave it another try. The new unit is called a "MegaFlint" but it was basically identical, bolt holes, wiring, etc; except the new one uses coated a plastic-coated rope instead of stainless steel wire. Installation was easy and my previous wiring for power and control worked fine. But the unit worked well one time only. The next time the clutch/brake would not tighten This made it so the electric motor could not fetch it in. I had to use the handle provided (which is too short to do the job easily) then an open-end wrench to bring it up to the trailer. But it would not HOLD, so a fellow fisherman was nice enough to walk along, hold the wrench as I pulled up the hill from the ramp. VERY unsafe for him to do this. I fould some spare rope and tied my bow eye directly to the winch tower. I had to do this because the winch would just let line out if it was under a pull and could have released the boat off of my roller trailer. My safety chain would probably have stopped it, but a foot further back than it should ride -- also unsafe. I switched back to a manual winch. Don't waste your money or risk your safety.

Appears solid / follow up
So far, so good. Have only installed and used it once. I’ll follow up after I haul the boat in the fall. Follow-up: unfortunately this winch is not nearly hefty enough to pull my 4000lb boat onto its trailer. Even doubling the pull with an extra block it overheats and momentarily shuts down. This is probably fine for a 1500 lb boat and I will use it for some other purposes but I would not recommend it for anything over 2000 lbs.

Vey versitile winch
I have 3 fixed mounted winches on various UTV. The problem is when you need a winch it always seems to be mounted at the other end of the vehicle. I have a Ford F150 Raptor and it's just to pretty to take into really rough stuff. I used the UTV's for that, but even still I have been stuck in mud twice with my Raptor and "high centered" on a stump. All 4 wheels were off the ground. I had to walk home and go back the next day with 2 floor jacks, Take the weight off the stump, crawl under the truck and cut 1/2" off the stump with a chain saw. I believe just a little pul with this Megaflint winch would have solved my problems. The company seems very helpful and I would suggest throwing one in a tool box just for peace of mind. Steve Byrd

Megaflint Trailer Winch,Reversible Electric Winch, for Boats up to 6000 lbs.12V
I bought the Megaflint Trailer Winch,Reversible Electric Winch, for Boats up to 6000 lbs.12V back in May of 2019 and have had very good luck using it on my boat to load it. I had a couple minor issues with it so I contacted customer service and they were on top of the issues right away. With hardly no questions asked they took care of me. They are sending me a new one incase the issue returns so I can swap it out. Otherwise this has been a great winch for my boat. I would highly recommend it. Thank you for having excellent customer service.

Bad advertising
Although advert says that it is for boats up to 6000lbs, this is when on a horizontal surface. When pulling a boat on a trailer which is in a ramp, then the pulling capacity falls drastically, even down to 1000 - 2000lbs, depends on ramp angle.

Light compact powerful, works well
Used it to load ice fishing house 1000 lbs on to trailer with easy. Remote control is well designed for working long distance from winch

Ok value for the price
It sure would be great to see a way better controller, it's very cheaply built and i can see it will not last, as well the reallyes are a very poor quality, again I don't think that they will last, and last but not least it would be nice to see syntactic rope rather steal cable.
