Instant signal for very long distances
I have a farm, and I needed camera surveillance over at the main gate to the land. I decided not to hire a contractor, and do it myself. The biggest concern was distance, since from the gate to my house is about 1200 meters. I've decided to use fiber and use it next to the power line I already have from gate to the house. I've got one AHD camera (cheap one) and DVR (Westshine with internal HDD and connection to the cloud) just to give it a try at first. Since I want to use fiber, I needed converters from bnc to fiber and back. This converter was able to do so without any hiccups, and I've got live picture form the gate at the screen at my home. And the DVR allows me even check video feed from my phone, instantly, even when I am out. Now I am thinking about buying another set to cover the other side of the land with cameras. Would definitely go with this set.
