Installed 2009 Forester
Picked this kit up for my 2009 Subaru Forester. It does exactly what it needs and I was very happy with the function, ease of install, look and finish. I half expected this to be a pain to install but it couldn't have been easier. For my vehicle I needed a different adapter for the Antena but that's it. Steering wheel controls where also very simple to setup. If you have an older Subi and are on the fence I couldn't recommend this kit enough.

Updated radio
I bought this to replaced my dead OEM radio on a 2009 Subaru Impreza. This thing is awesome. The only wire I had to run was the wire to the backup camera. The unit looks OEM in the dash. There were a couples of issue with connecting the OBD2 to the radio but after contacting tech support I was able to resolve the issue. I had to change the Bluetooth pin to 1234 in the radio to match the OBD dongle. Apple CarPlay works great. Tech support are prompt to answer any issue that you may have even with wiring issues. The only issue I have is when talking on the phone over Bluetooth with the FM radio on, the volume for the radio does not lower so you’ll have to close the application; the phone works fine when playing music with CarPlay since carplay priorities the call. Overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.

Plug and play
Easy set up. Everything works as it should. Apple car play works great. Hardly any lag (for me at least).UI isn’t bad either, evening is self explanatory.I did have one hiccup, when installing the backup camera, use the single yellow RCA connection, plug that into the back of the new stereo unit instead of the video out one the big harness.Backup camera quality is okay, it does the job. Can be a little pixelated at times, but you can see behind you.

Works well
No issues with delivery.Package came with extra cords/wires, so had to figure out what I actually needed. Video at the bottom of their page explains how to install well enough. The radio antenna didn't fit so had to use the stock one from the car but it works. Radio quality isn't the best, sound has some distortion but I don't use it much. Have a radio app on my phone that will suffice.CarPlay works well, both wireless and wired, which is what I was most interested in. For wired, since you get 2 usb cords, only one of the ports can connect you. The other just charges the phone, so that's not bad. Sometimes if you trying to edit some screen options, it will try to re-initialize CarPlay which is a bit annoying but no biggie. I bowed out from installing the rear backup camera and overall took about 30-45 min, because I was trying to run things through the console. Mapping keys on steering wheel to control sound, play next is easy, it's in the options.Contacted the seller for APK file to edit Home Screen and they sent it within a day, so that was nice. Once you put the Zlink on the main page as an app, it's more accessible.Overall, worth the money and I would buy again, recommend to others. Not perfect but beats paying a grand for a pioneer radio. And you can install it yourself easily

Horrible CarPlay
First off, the first unit I received was missing half of the connectors, including the gps unit and usb adapters.I tried both units and had the same experience with both. Wireless CarPlay is unusable due to the constant stuttering. I only managed to get “Wired” CarPlay working once, but that wasn’t really wired, it was over WiFi meaning my phone can’t be on WiFi at the same time. Not a huge deal by itself, but this also stuttered and would not charge my phone.I don’t know if it’s an issue with the firmware, head units, or terrible quality usb adapters, but charging on the second usb is hot or miss at best and in the primary basically never works.Every time you plug your phone into usb, you get a prompt to open either gallery or downloads app, obviously not what we want and annoying.TLDR: this unit Is completely worthless if you want CarPlay. If you want basic Bluetooth, it works ok, but not great.

Updated Forester Radio :}
I purchased this for my 2010 Subaru Forester and it fit perfect. The car had no Bluetooth so we needed a FM adapter and it was a pain in the A**. I would recommend this radio to anyone, install took about 30 minutes and it connected to my phone with ease. The wire harness was a perfect fit, I had to use the original antenna because the supplied antenna connection did not fit correctly. I have no problems getting radio stations with old antenna. The screen is bright and easy to use. Appl@ Car play (android as well) connects wirelessly. Remember you have to use ZLINK to connect, it is an app on the 3rd screen. No need for the extra MIC, when people call no issues hearing the driver.. Great buy great price...would def buy again

Does a decent job.
This product is pretty straight forward. it replaces you factory unit with a newer style touch screen. I will say installing the unit was fairly easy and straight forward. you do have to swap over the clips from your old bezel to install it correctly so hopefully you have all the original clips. the sound quality of this was better than my old original unit but still leaves a lot to be desired sound quality wise. it is nice to have android auto/carplay to use maps Spotify etc... but it does have a fairly long load and sync time before it gets up and connects. sometimes (though rare), it will not connect at all for about 10 min, and instead the unit will restart without warning and then begin the entire process of connecting all over again and eventually connect. Usually when this happens, I've already arrived at me destination and it has just barely reconnected. Mostly I can get past the issues as they are rare to happen. it still fits really well and adds a lot of functionality to my vehicle. it is worth the 100 bucks I paid.

Dont waste your money
In my opinion this is overpriced and that lacks even the basic functionality of the stock unit.- It appears to be a tablet strapped to potentially an amp?? and connector bus.- To weak to drive even factory speakers at any decent volume- Didn't come with retainer clips to secure it into car- Instructions were rubbish and contradictory for the reverse camera which to was poor quality- Does not bolt in place and could become loose under emergency braking/accident situations- Extremely slow
