Bought for shed windows. Easily fitted in a few minutes. Done a good job. Light stil comes through but most of the heat is reflected off. Mirror from the outside when outside is brighter than inside, at night with lights on in shed you can see inside from outside too. Made a big difference straight away.

Very good, blocks A LOT of heat! Can be tricky to apply depending on your windows but thats not unexpected. The only downside is its not ‘perfectly’ clear, but I guess unless you pay the big bucks none of them will be.

During a room refurb we decided that we didn't want net curtains anymore, yet we wanted the privacy protection that such afforded. And so after a bit of looking around we decided to try this one way window film. It has been a total success! I have never installed this kind of product before, but the instructions were quite clear, and the actual work required was quite simple to do. Key is ensuring the window glass is literaly clinically clean and free of any grit or other particles that will cause the film to bubble at that spot. Having done that, the film applied easily, was easy to reposition and squeegee the water out. It was initally mildly cloudy but that cleared after three days. The mirror effect is good, from outside it is impossible to see in during daylight. But you will need curtains for night time as the mirror effect reverses and outsiders can see in. Heat reduction is marked, very effective. Cutting the material requires a fresh blade in the knife ... I went for tungsten but that is probably excessive given it is only plastic material!

Pretty straight forward to install. Make sure on your measurements before attaching to window as it’s a bit of a pain to take it off and try and shave the smallest amounts off. Didn’t order enough to do full window and just noticed they’ve bumped the price up within 48 hours of a supposed heatwave being forecast soon

Bought for the privacy and hadn't considered the cooling! Last summer, 20 degrees C outside meant far too hot in south facing living room. This year 28 degrees outside and the same room is perfectly liveable, and that's with only bottom half of the window covered. I would say a good 8-10 deg C difference. So good that I've bought more, for other rooms in the house and my car. The privacy part is not quite as good as I'd hoped but there's a compromise between 'privacy reflection' and 'living in the dark even at midday'. Obviously with a lit room and dark outside one can still see through from outside, so don't get too complacent with regard to lack of clothing. Wish there were some other colours. Image shows a fair comparison of top half with no film, lower half with film in terms of seeing out of a window. Some darkening but fine for summer. Will need to remove in winter to get more light though. Shame it can't easily be stored. Honestly will save cost of cooling house and offset against that and eco cost of running aircon... against wasting plastic film... how green are you feeling?

Was dreading tussling with this, as had used a similar static-cling frosted film before, which was thin and kept sticking to itself, and was a mass of air bubbles nomatter what. However, my new rental flat has dodgy blinds and I need as close to perfect darkness as possible to sleep, so needs must. I armed myself with hot water in a spray bottle, a craft knife and a full-sized shower squeegee (this helped hugely compared to trying to use a little credit card sized thing so advise investing in one at the pound shop). I had nobody to help, but my windows aren’t huge and I managed just fine. Soaked the whole window with water first and peeled down the first few inches of the backing before positioning film on the window (shiny side goes to the window!). This film is really good and thick and stayed put well. I squeegeed down as I continued removing the backing. It was done in no time, and no bubbles! Now I did make the error of over-trimming on my first window. Because of how the double glazing unit is, light was getting in the edges. It’s better to leave larger and persuade the film to bend into the edges. As it’s super thick it takes a little coaxing. You can nick the corners with a craft knife to help. Where I had over trimmed at the bottom I just added some black electrical tape once the water had dried, and that has worked fine. I did initially take it off and re position to centralise a bit more, and again that wasn’t difficult. It’s been up a week now and shows no signs of peeling. However, having peeled off to re position I’m confident it will come off easily and leave no trace once I move out. There is no glue, just works with static. Everywhere the film is, it is totally light-proof even with bright sunshine right outside. Absolutely perfect. Suggest leaving around 1cm/1.5cm extra all round the edges compared to your window measurement, so it’s not too unmanageably large to work with, but you have some to bend into the window frame and a bit of contingency if you’re not quite centralised. A strip of black electrical tape down any edge that you mess up will complete the job. I’m so happy with results and really wish I had discovered this before in my life! Blackout curtains and blinds have always only worked so well and ‘leaked’ round the edges. This stuff is cheap and perfect!

Bought this product to use on my double glazed velux, but what it doesn’t state on the description is that this isn’t even suitable for double glazed glass units. I had to google it to find this information. For double glazed you need use external film, this one is for internal fitting, which heats the gap inbetween the glass units to a higher than standard temperature, which will in time damage the seal between the glass, and eventually damage the unit due to a higher than normal temperature and pressure build up between the units.

The front bedroom of my house has the sun on it most of the day making it the hottest room in the house. We put this up as soon as it arrived. It was super easy to install and we could almost instantly feel the reduction in heat. I was worried whether it would look ok from the outside but it looks great. I’m so pleased with it that I ordered another roll for the other windows.

Acheter pour limiter l'apport de chaleur ce film fait bien le job. En revanche pour le poser proprement c'est pas facile, il est assez fragile et se rayé facilement même avec une spatule en plastique (prévue pour du covering auto).

Very nice foil, I have privacy, but I can see who is outside my door. Satisfied.

El producto me llego perfecto y es de calidad. Aún así me ha costado mucho ponerlo...pero una vez pillado el truco queda bien y realiza su función.

Très bon produit, correspondant à mes attentes, facile à poser en respectant la notice. Je l'ai découpé en 3 morceaux pour couvrir 3/4 de ma paroi de douche, avec découpe pour le passage de la poignée. Rien à dire, bonne couvrance, parfait ! Merci.
