Great product! I do think next wash day I will reapply to dry hair instead of wet hair just because it works better for MY HAIR TYPE! But it’s a very nice gel with a firm hold but not a super hard cast (which I like). There is a subtle scent which isn’t good or bad but it’s not that noticeable once it’s in your hair.

Saw the reviews and decided to try it as ECO Styler is no longer an option for me. I have very coily type 4C hair and no gel has ever made my coils pop like this product does. My curls are defined, the definition last for days, looks juicy/well hydrated, no frizz, and NO Flaking. It’s smells good and clean. Not too overbearing with a heavy perfume scent which I prefer. This is my second time using this product and I am very happy with the results. It’s the perfect gel for my Wash ‘n’ Go’s. It is a bit pricey in my opinion but a little goes a long way and I was able to layer with other products. Just make sure you test the products together before applying to your hair to ensure the products are compatible with the Jello Shot. Based on the pics I attached I used Hawaiian Silk Miracle Worker 14-in-1, the Jello Shot, and TGIN Honey Whip Hydrating Mousse and it worked beautifully together 👌🏾. Sat under a dryer for 30mins and voila the perfect Wash ‘n’ Go that lasts a whole week with no need refresh in between. I would definitely recommend.

This is the best gel I’ve used in years, super hold. For the price I wish the pouch was much bigger. It is not flaky, I use it every two weeks and it works great, I don’t know if it lengthen the hair, I still think my hair shrinks after use, maybe it’s because I use it on wet hair.

Great hair gel, definitely recommend it as you can use it to slick back your hair and for your curls, but somehow, the size has shrunk but the price is still the same? Not sure why that is. Might have to look for a better priced product going forward now that I know you are getting less for the same price.

First off. It’s tiny!! Breat if you have short hair or loose curls. But ig you have longer kinky hair you’re gonna go through at least half the pouch. I used it with a mousse to make the product stretch. The hold was good but for the price, it wasn’t worth it for me. I wish it was still 16oz like I’ve see some others post.

Love this gel. Amazing, clean ingredients. Good hold. Enhances shine. I love use it on the perimeter of my hair (ie front hairline and along nape, crown) where my more challenging spots are, and (with well hydrated/moisturized hair underneath) it helps maintain the curls and keep the frizz at bay for longer. Wonderful in summer humidity.

Very drying to your hair I washed and conditioned my hair and use this and the next day all I had was a dried out afro with no definition would never buy again

My hair is mostly 3C and 4A on the crown. I live in Austin and it is EXTREMELY humid in the summer, and summer is 6 months long! I'm in my late 60s, color my gray (for now) and always open to new techniques and products. This gel is ah-mazing! I love that it is made from natural ingredients, but the trick is not to use TOO much. I start with a leave-in, then use a generous amount of Orange Marmalade and lastly I use a small amount of Jello - it seems to SEAL the hair from moisture. But, here is the key: ALL OF THESE PRODUCTS NEED TO BE SCRUNCHED & SQUEEZED INTO THE HAIR with your hands FIRMLY while it's nearly dripping wet! This technique will "push" the water into the hair shaft and define your curls like nothing else will. Flip your wet hair over, spread the product onto both hands, then squeeze and scrunch it into your hair evenly. I put 4" clips in against my scalp to lift my super-thick hair up a bit and then dry it. My only complaint about Ecoslay is there isn't a lot of technique guidance on their website. And I sure HOPE they don't sell the company and change the formula. Thank you Ecoslay - love your products!
