Used This Coupler To Replace The Hitch Pin Set Up On My Yard Cart
Used this coupler to change the hitch pin set up on my yard cart.Got tired of loading the cart and pulling it to where ever in the yard I needed to go only to get off of my riding mower and see the cart on the other side of the yard because the hitch pin clip would not hold it on the mower. GRRRR!This fit the cart channel perfectly, I added a 1 7/8 ball to my riding mower and now when I attach the cart to the mower it stays attached so now I can haul the cart around the yard without it coming off of the mower.

Spend the money! Trust me.
I bought this for a trailer I refurbished. I liked it because it was black and the colors I was going for was black and grey. The trailer looked great when I was done and I use it for a kayak trailer to this day. The coupler works just fine. No safety problems at all. I have one problem, it wont come off my hitch. I literally have to use a pry bar and pry the release under the coupler, to get it off. If I pop the latch and lift my jack, it will just about lift my Tahoe's rear tires off the ground. Its weird because it goes on with no problems. I though it was because I didn't use enough shims but I looked under it and nothing touching the release. I am actually still using the same coupler but I plan on replacing it soon. The only benefit is, nobody's stealing my trailer.

Good value, easily handles my load requirements
Using this hitch coupler together with a standard 1-7/8" ball and Mission Automotive 3/8 thick universal hitch plate I was able to adapt my Troy-Bilt lawn tractor to pull my 30+ year old Garden Way cart up and down steep inclines easily with 400 lb loads. Greatly increased the utility of the lawn tractor.Since I didn't have any 2" square steel stock I made a trailer tongue from the best scraps of hardwood in my shop and planed them to fit the hitch perfectly.

Used for garden dump cart.
I dislike the pin hitch used on riding mowers, so I convert to ball hitch. Used this on my 8Y John Deere cart using the two holes on top of this coupler. Had to drill two new 3/8" holes on the cart as the two from the old hitch don't match up. If this sounds like a good idea for you, consider the trailer tongue won't fold up with this coupler mounted so you can't use the 8Y as a push cart without removing it again.

Had a small problem but got it to work.
We got this and the tongue that hangs down, didn' t come down far enough. We were getting a replacement from Amazon so my husband took it off and could see that the tongue was jammed up in there so he took a hammer and hit it and it came loose. He put back on and it works fine now. However, I had written for company support and when I tried to tell them what happened, their email came back to me. Can't get thru to them? Weird. Sent the new one back from Amazon.

little smaller than 3'"
it says its for 3" channel but its actually 2&7/8" - the way the coupler is bent it doesn't allow a "FLUSH" mount to 3" tubing the couplings angles are too rounded and need to be more square or sharper on the bends, but it does operater good and seems to be strong

doesn't open to accept ball freely
I bought this hitch to replace old rotted on...I have to pry it open every time to get it to accept the ball.Maybe with time it will wear in and free up.. but never had a trailer hitch lock up like this before,... and I've had, and have, LOTs of hitches.Go elsewhere and buy a Reese towpower.. you won't be sorry.
