What on earth have Crown done? This new version is terrible
I have been repainting all the doors in our house and just ran out of the crown quick dry stay white satin so ordered another tin via amazon. New style tin and I've just started to use. It's absolutely awful, so watered down it's worse that an emulsion! You can see by the pic the difference in the quality. The inside panels were done finishing off the old tin with the blue and white tin with 1st coat. The outer bits are the first coat of the new tin. It's horrendous and likely going to take 3-4coats to achieve the same finish as the old style. Crown you absolutely cannot cut back on paint products by thinning it down!! It's totally pointless and a complete waste of money. Thank goodness this is the last door I need to do because id be returning this rubbish. Never ever again.

Doesn't cover well
Surfaces prepped (internal doors) and primed basic coverage. Left for 12 hours before applied paint. Barely covered any colour that showed through primer. Left 12hrs again. Second coat applied, still dreadful coverage, will need at least 2 more coats. Paint is quite liquid. A waste of time, effort and money. Expected more of Crown, sadly unimpressed

Rubbish paint.
I normally buy cheaper brand or shop own gloss paint but thought I would get this as crown as a reputable brand. However this is without doubt the worst gloss paint I’ve ever used - Does not dry well, dries lumpy & blotchy Even on brand-new or existing painted surfaces, Regardless whether it’s had a light key or not. Avoid.

No colour-maybe a faulty batch.
This is the weirdest and least successful wood paint I've ever used. I can only assume there is a fault with a batch as I've seen positive reviews. There is absolutely no colour to this paint. It's a transparent milky liquid and I double checked I hadn't accidentally grabbed a can of clear varnish as it looks similar in application . It dries completely transparent not white, it's very odd. Would not recommend as it doesn't do the job.
