It is just the right size for a family of two.

I bought this pot for cooking foods that boil over easily. I've used it once for that purpose and it worked fine because of the extra height. It's also called a mini deep fryer as well as an asparagus pot. The shape of the pot and the thickness of the metal on the sides and the bottom should make it ideal for either of those. The vented glass lid and the handles both work well.

Great cooking pot. Fits asparagus/broccoli, AND works wells as deep fryer when cooking for only 1 or 2. I like that the strainer has an easy to grab lifting handle-makes a big difference when dealing with steam or oil.

Perfect. I do small batch water bath canning and hate filling a large pot to do one or two jars. Most large soup pots are not tall enough to do a quart size jar. So I have to bring out a ginormous huge pot to water bath can quart jars. This pot is perfect for one quart jar or one pint jar or a 1/4 pint and 1/2 pint together and bonus I can make asparagus or boil pasta Love this little pot.

The outside height dimension without the lid of this pot is 7 7/8" max and not 8.26" as stated in picture when you scroll down. The max amount of water over the top of a quart jar is 1 1/8" before water would be overflowing out of the pot. Beware of height measurement! I need to research other available pots that may be more suitable for waterbath of one quart jar. I'm disappointed that they overstated the height of this pot.

This manner of asparagus preparation is delicious and nutritious. 2 lbs. cooks in 5-7 minutes. The stainless steel is lightweight.

I like it. I use it alot. It does hold a lot of asparagus and asparagus comes out perfect. The issue is the lid does not sit tight down onto the pot. It pops up and allows steam to escape out the side. Not sure if lid is slightly irregular shape or if just slightly to large in design. It works but know the lid does not sit on it properly. For the price, quality should be much better than it is. If it was 10.00 cheaper, would be fine.

Love this pot! It is perfect for pasta for only a couple of people and I don't have to pour all my pasta water down the sink!

I love this pot. I’ve wanted one for a long time. When I don’t want to heat a large pot of water this is perfect to blanch vegetables, poach anything, cook pasta, water bath canning process small quantities, deep fry in small amounts of oil.
