I am a sucker for inexpensive fishing gear. Yeah I've purchased and used some of the best. But the initial cost, plus maintenance and parts and repairs can get out of hand on the higher end stuff. I mean, did our forefathers have expensive top of the line gear?, or did they have "good enough"? A good reel at the turn of the last Century would set you back less than $5. Today, more like $250-plus. I ordered this reel on my daughter's Amazon account on Friday. It was delivered the next day, Saturday. Today (Sunday) I took it down to my neighborhood beach and fished. Caught 3 and headed home for a lunch of fresh fish. I gotta say, this reel winds pretty smoothly. The drag seems good too. The listing claims "stainless ball bearings", I hope so. I do the same drill every time when I get back home. I rinse my rod and reel vertically, and let dry. I hope the bearings and other components prone to rusting don't! I will know quickly as I fish regularly. The only salt my reels are exposed to is in the air, so I would be very surprised if this reel has issues, but again, it was really cheap, so lets see what happens.At roughly $11, how can I go wrong? How many Penn parts can you buy for $11? Heck $11 wouldn't even cover P&H.The only complaint I have, is that I expect truth in advertising. The seller claims the reel has more than 3 ball bearings, but the supplied parts diagram for this reel shows exactly 3. Maybe they are counting each individual ball? We don't do it that way here in the USA. That would be dishonest.Lets see how this reel holds up, I plan to use the H-LL out of it in the next few weeks.

High quality reel
The media could not be loaded. High quality reel. Heavy as expected from powerful reels. If you want light reel then this is not the one. This will be for Carp, big catfish, stripers etc. Looks very beautiful in real life
