New level of technology in hair care , and yes it really does work using infra red heat to give a gentler method to smooth away unwanted curls to give pipe straight hair !I was shocked when the parcel arrived at how big it was , but inside the great padded packaging was another box , containing a travel pouch ( also padded and heat resistant to some degree ) , containing my new hair straighteners .Wow , the mains power cord (240 volt ) is longer than my old ones and has a handy swivel at the connection to prevent the cord becoming entangled and breaking down prematurely.The plates are as wide as expected , great as I’ve fairly long hair , but the opening isn’t as wide as I’m used to , absolutely not a problem but will take some getting used to .It opens the tongues about 2” which is plenty in reality , though I’m sure everyone’s used to them opening about 4-5” and having to squeeze the tongues together more .The buttons for the power settings are rather neatly lined up on the inside of the lower arm so you can’t accidentally turn the power up and toast your hair , yet the digital readout for temperature is on the top arm , well illuminated in a clear blue background, and the whole thing feels quality as opposed to being built to a price .I’d highly recommend these and I’m a GUY !Yep , old fashioned glam rocker from the 1980’s , but you can only pull of having long hair if you keep it neat and tidy .I’m 51 and an engineer by professional so I’m happy to admit being a long haired bloke who uses hair straighteners, because I’m able to share with you a review from a materials quality perspective and these really do a great job and after using them three times since Saturday I’m picking up far less hair from the floor than I was with conventional ones that overcook your hair and leave it brittle .Best of luck and hope this helpsMark

Honestly I cant get over how great this product is. I have very curly, frizzy hair and I hate using thin straighteners because it takes ages, a lot of heat, and honestly doesnt make it look sleek at all.Prior to buying this hair straightener I was using a relatively expensive hair straightener from tresemme, which I found to be heating unevenly and pulling my hair, as the plate position was suboptimal and got my hair tangled a lot. No such problems with this straightener! The plates go over the edge to avoid tangling, and it heats very evenly, smoothing my hair as it does so. It has a long cable so you can move it around your head easily, and honestly I can't believe the quality considering what I paid for it! It even came with a heat proof storage bag and a nice protective box.Cannot recommend highly enough. Great product.

You kinda have to be patient with it

I won’t lie, it does straighten my hair slightly, but the infrared strip on the plate kept snagging on my hair leaving my hair looking frizzy still! It heats up very fast but doesn't straighten as much as I would like it to, they were good for the price but I have used other straighteners what are amazing and leaves my hair looking perfect just for a little more, it does what it’s supposed to but I just don’t like the way my hair looks after and I can still see the frizz, and pulls my hair.

I really love this hair straightener. When I found it I thought I was gambling because I had never heard of this make so I watched some tutorials and reviews on Youtube and was sold. My hair is very wavy/ curly , very thick but also a little brittle. I bought this as my last one was old and turned bad. This is a great size for my hair and doesn't take me too long to straighten as it heats up super quick. It has many different temperatures and a very long cord which reaches to my vanity desk. All in all I am so pleased with it especially for the price. I hope it lasts a long time. Also, as a bonus it comes in a nice black box which I can use for other things, and also a heat resistant nice looking bag to store it in!

Lo único bueno para mí es lo grandes que son las placas. Yo tengo el pelo muy rizado y las ha probado en gente que no lo tiene tan rizo y tengo que pasar muchas veces la plancha para que me quede un alisado pulido. Creía que iban a calentar más e iban a facilitar el alisado en cuanto a tiempo. Soy peluquera y las he probado mejores. Supongo que valen para alguien que no tenga un cabello demasiado encrespado y bravo y el enchufe es el americano. Hay que comprar adaptador.

Perfect for me! I love this thing!!!The good:1. The size. The size is great! It's actually not as clunky as it looks in the photo--I thought it was gonna be much bigger than it actually was! But at the same time, it is also wide so you can get in a good amount of hair. The size is perfect. I have long and thick hair and I can get it all done in about 20-30 minutes!2. So smooth! It is really smooth! It does not drag and pull on your hair like some other flat irons. It's like silk almost! Your hair will slide through.3. The edges don't get that hot. I am EXTREMELY awkward with my hands and it's hard for me to do my hair because of that. So I have a fear of burning myself because I can't hold instruments properly. Well! The chances of burning yourself is pretty low with this flat iron! The sides don't get that hot, so you can get really close to your scalp (for us black chicks with new growth!) without burning yourself. So that's awesome!4. Convenience. It heats up in a SNAP, and you can toss it right in the thermo bag without waiting for it to cool down. Awesome! Quick and easy. Also, the cord swivels and the buttons are easy to press. The screen is digital and easy to read as well.The bad:1. WHAT GENIUS DECIDED TO PUT THE BUTTONS ON THE SIDE RIGHT WHERE YOU HOLD IT?!?! Terrible button placement! I was using this thing and after like 10 minutes I realized that I was on a heat setting WAY higher than I set it! I accidentally kept pushing the buttons and turning up the heat! Now I luckily have pretty durable hair so it could take it, but not everyone's hair can take heat like that and the button placement can actually cause some serious hair damage on accident. So be sure to periodically check the temperature and be conscious of where you hold the iron! The button placement is annoying and to refer back to my previous note--the buttons are EASY to press! So you can easily accidentally press one. After every section, check the temperature to make sure it's on the same setting as before! (Also, if you're a lefty, you may have a bad time holding the iron without pressing the buttons!)2. The temperature increments. I'm not sure of the actual numbers, but you increase and decrease the temperature by big values. Like you jump from 350 to 375 and then 410 I think. There's some middle ground there that might work better for some people but they don't have that option.But overall I really, REALLY love this flat iron!I think it is incredible for the price and I'm so happy I bought it. It cuts my hair time in half and gets my hair looking AAAAAAHHHHMAZING. I hope it has longevity because I want to keep it forever! If this iron dies from natural causes lol I will most likely buy another one before getting a different flat iron.Notes:1. I do notice a burning smell sometimes though. :/ I had my hair on 350 once, and then 410 (cause 350 wasn't cutting it lol). I did notice a bit of a burning smell.2. If you have shoulder length hair, the size should still be okay. But anything shorter may require a smaller or thinner flat iron. This is for (IMO) medium to long hair. The size is not ridiculously wide but it is kinda wide.3. When you put it in the bag, I suggest you lay the cord on top of the bag after you zip it up. The BAG is thermal, I'm not so sure about the cord! I put the iron in the bag then zip it up, place the cord over the bag, and then put it back in the box.

I was super excited to get to review this product as I have never heard of or tried anything quite like this hair straightener ever before. I've have only ever had one hair straightener in my life and it cost me quite a bit and that was several years ago. So as you can imagine that hair straightener although still in fairly good shape ( I take really good care of my hair supplies) is starting to lose it's touch, It's hair straightening abilities have seen better days as it's been through hell and back. I'm rather adventurous and find myself wanting to try the next latest trend quite often, so the thought of switching things up and trying something new was something I was overjoyed to do after so many years of the same boring routine with the same boring hair straightener.The hair straightener comes in an amazingly beautiful matte finish black box, upon opening you see inside a black zippered heat proof bag which held the straightener. This packaging was beautifully done and just speaks wonders about the product. It shows they take pride in their products and their customers. First thing I noticed out of the package was just the overall appeal of this hair straightener it looked like something you'd see at a salon and not in my living room. The straightener itself is well put together. It's bigger then my other straightener that I have but still fairly light weight and durable. It has a green light up digital display that makes it easier to see which is different but something I really liked about this product. The hair straightener has a long 360 degree swivel cord which is a big bonus for me because that means I can move around a bit more and not be worried that I'm going to bend my cord and ruin it which gives me more freedom when doing my own hair as well as someone else's. The hair straightener takes about 2-3 mins to heat up which is a bit longer then what I was used to with my other hair straightener but still fairly quick. It also gets way hotter then my previous hair straightener which is great as it makes it easier to straightener my thick wavy hair in less strokes which means less damage to my hair.This hair straightener has 2 inch plates which are a tad bit bigger then I am used to so it took a little bit of adjusting and getting used to for me to be able to straighten my hair with ease. I found that with the bigger plates I could easily fit more of my hair between the plates which allowed me to get my hair straightened in less time, which is a good thing for me at least in the morning when getting ready for work I want to take as little time as possible, the more time I have to sleep in the better for everyone. However with that being said the bigger plates do make it a lot harder to style my hair as I feel I don't have as much control with it, and that it's harder to grip. I have never used an infrared hair straightener before so this was a new experience for me. I had read that it's better for you hair as it locks in the natural moisture in your hair which increases the shine and minimizes the heat damage done to your hair. I have noticed that my hair is a lot more smooth and shiny and it does stay straight throughout the day without getting frizzy as it usually would have. As far as my hair not being as damaged from the heat I haven't used the product long enough to tell. However I will say this I don't smell that awful hair burning smell as I have in the past with other hair straightening product I have used. So that's a step in the right direction I'd assume.Overall, This hair straightener has gone above and beyond what I could have ever expected, as you can see from the packaging to the product itself it's beautifully designed. You're getting a professional, hair salon product for a fraction of the price. It works as advertised and has made my hair look and feel much better. I would recommend this product to everyone I know and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again for myself or even as a gift.
