Perfect for my purpose. Black Chinese ink often bleeds through some fine papers which one expects from wetter techniques. The mat I ordered is gray. I’m very pleased with the color, the thickness, and the size. I highly recommend.

This felt mat/cloth is wonderful! It is thick, dense and durable! The size is also wonderful! Very large. There are creases on the folds, which is expected. I read that ironing works. I don’t currently have access to an iron, so I will mist it and run it gently in the dryer to soften the wrinkles, though, I think they will flatten on their own if left flat!

This mat is a must item for anyone who writes/draws on thin sumi papers. The ink will smear through paper, but this mat stops the ink going onto any other objects. It also saves the other fresh paper from being stained like magic. Now I am saving lots of paper towels and old newpapers, and time after getting this mat. I recommend this product.

I'm really impressed with the quality and size of this mat, so glad I found this. The quality of material used and thickness is perfect, it's quit thick! And absorbent. I was very happy to find it this size, since I tend to do rather larger sized landscape and bamboo paintings. I highly recommend this mat without hesitation! Paul

Not sure there’s much to say about this mat except that it has a great value for money and delivers and exceeds my expectations.

The fabric doesn't seem to be able to recover from such deep fold marks. It's really impractical to use underneath thin calligraphy paper if it's not flat enough. I'll have to return it.

MEGREZ Chinese Calligraphy Drawing Felt Mat is very thick. Nothing goes thru it. Great for watercolor, sumi painting. I used this mat with watercolor paper, rice paper and even newsprint. Works great. Recommend!!

Yes! I wish it was about 20" longer, but other than that, this mat is perfect. It covers the work space on my desk. This is pefect for Shodo or sumi-e. Very pleased withthe mat, the colour, The creases where it was folded have also startedto work their way out.

This is a great mat for protecting your furniture and it also gives a good area to work on your art.
