The designs are adorable and it is laid out well. You could get something cheaper and probably more efficient per page but not this cute! I think this would be a great gift to somebody that is getting into gardening, horticulture or hobby growing!

This is a beautiful book that would be a nice gift for a new gardener. Perhaps a seasoned gardener would appreciate the sentiment but I find myself wanting more options than it offers. Each page in the journal has a space for notes on two plantings. I would prefer tracking how well certain plants grow year over year and not just one or two plantings. There are also no tabs or separation pages whatsoever in the book so one would either have to add their own tabs to the pages or search for particular plantings. The hardcover is very well-made and is beautiful. However, I think a spiral bound book would work better to write on in the areas we most often garden. I think the idea of a gardening journal such as this is great. It greatly contributes to the meaningfulness of the practice of gardening. I just think this particular journal lacks in practicality but shines in terms of beauty. I think it's a thoughtful gift and would recommend it for that purpose but not as practical as it could be for year over year journaling.

This gardening journal is well designed. It will allow you to keep track of a large number of plants. The cover is very pretty. The interior pages are set up to allow you to record the watering and sunlight needs of various plants and to make notes about how they are doing in the garden.I am new to gardening, and I am sure that this lovely journal will help me succeed.

This is a beautiful gardening journal - perfect for a mother's day gift! The pages are straightforward and practical, though I do wish the paper was a bit thicker (that's just me being a paper snob though)... the cover is even more stunning in person, and I thought this was a unique concept I hadn't seen elsewhere!
