Broke After 18 Months Of Light Use
Product works well, good suction for the size. I was surprised how much it picks up and It's very good at picking up pet hair and with 4 rabbits living in the house, this is very useful. Only issue is we cannot get the app to recognise the device on both an iPhone and an Android Samsung Galaxy at the same time. It's either one or the other. Even sending the link to the device to the other phone doesn't work, so it's pretty useless for more than one person to control from out of the house, so I can only use it via the supplied remote control when I'm at home. This means I don't get any notifications if it gets itself stuck or has another problem as has happened a couple of times. I've come back into the room expecting it to have finished, and it's been trapped and shut itself down which is a little annoying. *edit. After 18 months of light use, (30 mins per day in only one room to get under the sofas that the big vacuum can't), we noticed random bits of plastic on the carpet. Turns out the plastic strip that holds the front bumper/sensor on had become really brittle and had started to break up, and the front bumper came off. Sent back to Amazon for a refund.

More problems
Update: 3 Oct 2021 Had this a couple of years now and all fairly good. Needed a new battery but that was expected and easy to fit. However, one of the "tyres" on a wheel has been damaged making it noisy and annoying. You can't get a tyre but can get a new wheel assembly. Fair enough, some stuff on Amazon but not for the 11S, so I contacted Anker and was told there were none in the UK but plenty in the US. OK, how much with delivery to UK? We can't deliver to the UK!! We suggest you ask a friend in the US to buy it and then ship it to you !!! Seriously? I suggested that this was their job. No response other than that they could not send to the UK even if the customer was willing to pay. Do it looks as though the the well praised Anker customer service has now finished as far as UK customers are concerned. So if you are thinking of buying Anker products based on the earlier, excellent, customer services then think again if you are UK based. Update: 30 Oct 2019 2 stars deducted The remote control has developed a fault in that the time cannot be set properly nor can the auto start time be set properly. As I use it almost entirely in auto start, at various times of the day depending on the rooms being cleaned, this is a problem. I'll see if I can get a new remote and if not will buy something more robust. Original review below I have it set to run at medium suction once a day. It has done so for over a month and only got stuck once, caught on a trailing cable but just switched itself off after a while. Works well but would like to be able to set it to run twice a day, morning and evening. I'm not sure if the latest Wi-Fi enabled version does this. Purchased a second charging station from Eufy so I can have it upstairs for a few days and then move it downstairs without have to unplug and move the charger. I have one charging station under a sofa and the other under a bed and it finds them both without a problem despite having nowhere near the 6 feet in front and 3 feet at each side of clear space that is suggested. The brushes "bend" a bit after a while but, as they are contra rotating, swapping them over every now and then helps with this.

Caused £100s of damage to my newly-purchased, new-build flat
The eufy has caused £100s of damage to my new-build flat and brand new furniture. The manufacturers do not care and suggested I “keep it away” from ledges, which is neither possible nor sensical for a robotic vacuum meant to operate by itself. They will not compensate for this damage and offered to give me £30 in vouchers toward another eufy product only which clearly I don’t want. I refused but they said the most they can do is take it back if I find a way to ship it. I don’t have the packaging and we are in a full countrywide lockdown. Even a refund would not begin to cover the cost of the damage it has done to my home. At one point the service rep suggested my flat must be very old and easily damaged by “walking with shoes” for it to have caused this damage. Walking cannot strip multiple layers of paint and scratch wood. It is also as I had already stated in my correspondence brand new and I am the first occupant as of September 2020, and I bought the eufy and used it a handful of times since Black Friday. An absurd way to deny this product will damage your floors and furniture.

Started out great, lost its "mind" a few weeks later
I was swayed by all the amazing reviews of this budget robot vacuum, wanting to have something to clean the downstairs rooms and without having the privacy concerns of the more expensive versions with cameras or lasers mapping out the layout of my home and storing that data who-knows-where. The first clean was amazing! It whizzed around my living room, bumping into furniture but figuring out ways around it, and the greatest was its performance on the kitchen/dining room hard floor - it sucked up every little crumb and pet hair and went back to it's base. I was in love. But after a few weeks, it started to not be able to find it's way around the (un-moved) furniture. It also started to not pick up as well as it had been, leaving crumbs in its wake. I cleaned out all the parts that needed cleaning, set it down and no matter the suction setting it's been passing over crumbs and cat litter without so much as moving it. It gets stuck going in circles and claims it's returning to base but goes in the complete opposite direction, into a far corner where it rams into the corner, does a 360, then does it again infinitely until I pick it up and put it back. It never had this problem before, it was able to navigate home (albeit with many bumps along the way) just fine. Firmware and app has been updated with no improvement in its behaviour. It's now been confined to only the kitchen/dining room, where it does a passable job but in triple the time it would take for me to just vacuum it myself. What seemed like a budget friendly purchase has turned into what is mostly an overpriced ornament that gets turned on twice a week to spot clean until I whip the heavy vacuum out; the thing I was trying to cut down on!

Surprisingly good! (and it has a python API)
I bought this after reading positive reviews, but still wasn't quite prepared for how good it is. Which is not to say it's AMAZING, but... I'm definitely in like with it :) First thing's first. It's best suited to open-plan, minimalist living, in a modern apartment or a bungalow, where it can wander around freely and access most of the space easily. Let's talk about the bad points: Kids' or dogs' toys laying around, random draft excluders, weird thick rugs, ornaments in the middle of the floor, rooms with lots of chairs and things like that, will cause it some trouble. A few of those things combined MIGHT make it unusable for you. Also, things like pet hair may well jam it up for a moment, causing it to beep, begging for rescue. But that's easily remedied. It can get stuck in tight nooks and crannies, too. The most significant problem is that it's DUMB AS ROCKS. Well, OK, it's about as intelligent as a housefly. It can follow edges, but doesn't really know when it should; doesn't do it well, or consistently, as part of a real strategy. Most of the time, it will literally bounce between walls, cleaning as it goes, and just hoping to somehow cover every inch of floor before it runs out of battery. Obviously that proposition becomes less and less likely, as the floorspace involved grows, and the complexity of the floor plan grows. It can't clean every inch of three rectangular rooms with open doors separating them as easily as it can clean one big, square room with minimal furniture, for example. Now, the good points: This thing makes cleaning FUN!! Instead of manually sweeping a vacuum head over every inch of floor, you can be sitting back with a beer, watching it clean. That's a game changer, really: you're no longer working, just observing and looking out for a device. It's not too different from just managing a washing machine with its buttons and soap drawers etc. (not automatic, but easy), instead of repeatedly taking clothes out of a basket, dunking them in water, scrubbing them on a washboard, wringing them out, replacing water, yada yada... (FAR from automatic, sweaty, time-consuming, etc.) Sometimes you have to intervene and help it out, but you don't mind, because it's like helping a dog out, or helping a toddler out. It feels NICE to help it, rather than a chore :D It's smart enough to tell you when it needs help, and what it thinks is wrong, at least ("Roller brush is stuck", meaning "please turn me over, pull the pet hair out of my brush, set me back down and press start again"; easy to do). The same goes for most of its limitations: they're "inconvenient", but not really annoying. It's dumb, but it cleans WELL ENOUGH, and is happy to work on it every day. So overall, over time, your home is going to be pretty damn clean, with, crucially, minimal manual effort. If you want something that's super-smart and clean efficiently in minimal time, you should probably look to the expensive Roomba's or similar high-end brands that build a map the room by looking at the ceiling and cool stuff like that. But if you just want something to take the hassle out of cleaning a minimalist style of home, this should work great for you. Overall, I'm very happy with this. Though I'm sold on the idea enough now that I'll probably invest in a smart one next time. For the programmers amongst you, there is an unofficial python API too :) Which at least means it's POSSIBLE to make the thing smarter. EDIT: the suction doesn't seem so great now, after a few days of use :( I guess the filter just needs cleaned, but that means a lot of maintenance.

3.5 stars out of 5
This is a review of the Eufy Robot Vacuum Cleaner [BoostIQ] RoboVac 30C which I have used now for about 6 months. My first impression of the device were very strong and not long after unboxing it it was working it's away around each room that I placed it in with very impressive results, collecting more dust than I thought was present in the room. The device is more than capable of working its way around a room, collecting dust from edges and corners in way that by looking at it you wouldn't think possible. Eventually, and this is really testament to its partial success, you will find that the return of dust to the dust compartment lessens with each use and that is really simply because you have less dust in the house which is after all the job of this device, so far so good. The device is provided with an app that enables you to control the way it moves and to also set a schedule however it can be quite tricky to know where to place it and on what schedule to run it and you either find yourself moving up and down flights of stairs too frequently for it be described as "zero effort from you." as the marketing of the product suggests or that it can be tricky to make sure that the floor is free of all clutter in order for it to run as efficiently as you need it to in order to achieve an effective result. The issue of efficiency is also compounded by the lack of sophistication in the units intelligence which leads to what can seem like a poor performance in battery life. Currently a 5 hour charge is giving me about 20 mins of maximum performance when considering how little intelligence is actually in use can often times not be enough of a duration to achieve an effective clean. You can run this on a lower setting for a longer duration giving me approximate 35 mins use for a 5 hour charge. What you will find in this respect is that the unit will tend to go over the same patches again sand again during the same routine, and as well as that you will also find that it has what I believe to be a completely unintended bias towards the light meaning that you if you have parts of rooms that are brighter than others or you have any white furniture, the 30C will spend most of times heading these areas again and again. It can start to become very frustrating watching it make the same mistakes over and over and to say that the included boundary stops give you "worry free cleaning" may be accurate to a point but is not really a true reflection of the reality when using the device as you end up either having to leave large magnetic metal like strip in a position within a room which frankly looks ugly or you have to keep moving the strip around to which part of a room(s) the device wants to head to next. That said the sensor in the device which determines is direction and also its boundary can be very effective at times, as the device will sometimes recognise that it's about to collide with something and it adjusts its direction before doing so, not every time however but it also does a great job at not falling down stairs, a point at which the thing appears to look more sentient than it actually is. However, the device will also quite frequently stop during its operation for one reason or another, most commonly as something gets stuck in it's brushes, this can be especially frustrating as not only does the current job not complete without intervention it also makes a quite horrific incessant beeping noise for a period as well as it also alerting you on the app too, all of which is completely unnecessary and totally unavoidable in so far as I have experienced. I am led to believe that some of these issue have been resolved with some of the more expensive models and my experience with this particular model has been positive enough to make me consider an upgrade however, the expense does appear to increase quite rapidly the higher up you look and because of that I would want to ensure that no only does a more expensive model resolve the issue I have had with the device but that it also does not introduce any more issues. Overall, the 30C is a good product. It cleans well, is very easy to use once you find a way to integrate its operation into a routine that works for you it verges on being an essential item that every home should have. I don't believe that you could ever replace your main vacuum with one of these entirely in a house, though it could be possible in a an apartment as this device will not clean stairs and upholstery and it will obviously not climb stairs. I've given it four stars as it has actually exceeded my expectation in may respects though if I could give half stars I would actually settle on 3.5 stars, simply because the lack of intelligence in the unit and/or the app does reveal some of the weaknesses of this particular model, to the point where I can see a lot of people not really using it as much as they had probaly hoped. If you are thinking about getting one of these devices I would strongly suggest looking at what the more recent models can offer and for how much and if it seems that the price of those models in prohibitive, think carefully about whether it's best to settle for the 30C or whether it's better to hold out.

This really has changed my life !
Where do I start... I work in tech, so am always hankering after gadgets and tech-toys, and to be honest I thought that this might end up as being a bit of a gimmick. I purchased it on the Prime Deal as it was a great price, and I thought, for that, it was worth a gamble. However, it wasn't completely a impulse buy, I first spent a number of hours on the internet, researching Eufy, and looking at all the alternatives - of which there are quite a lot, I was surprised to see. I watched many of the you tube reviews, again on this and the others, and time and time again, the Eufy 30c came out doing really well. So I ordered it! When it arrived, it was well packed, and came with some spare filters and brushes - so you don't have to worry about that when you order. I subsequently looked on Amazon, and there are filter and brush kits readily available, so that's good too. He (lol) had some charge in the battery already, but I did put him on the base and allowed a full charge before using. This didn't take as long as I thought it was going to, but as I say, it already had some charge in the battery. Whilst it was charging I downloaded the app on my tablet and also my phone, and that was all very quick and easy. Very straight forward if you are not that comfortable with tech. When it was ready, I pressed the auto mode button in the app - and he was off ! I believe he has 9 infrared detectors and the bumper on the front to help him find his way, and avoid obstacles. On IQ Boost the suction motor adjusts itself depending on what surface he is on, so on a stone tiled floor, he is nice and quiet, and really not that noticeable. On thicker carpet, or rugs, he may increase his suction, which raises the noise level, but nowhere near like a regular vacuum cleaner. The suction power is surprisingly strong, and coupled with the underside rotating brush, he picks up pretty much everything. I really like the two front brushes which pick up everything and shoot it into the path of the underside sucker - very efficient! We are not untidy people and tend to vacuum probably every other day, as we have cats and dogs - but since having Eufy, we have not had to get the regular cleaner out. In his app, you can schedule when he cleans, and we have him set for each work day morning at 06:00, and 07:00 at the weekend. He wakes up at the set time and off he goes, running for about an hour and 20 minutes before, dropping into low power mode and heading home. Our house is a quite large, 4 bed, detached, and he is keeping on top of the cleaning really well. As he lives downstairs, which is where his charging point is, we will often carry him upstairs and let him loose up there too. As he is very low, he will clean under cupboards and in particular - beds! The underside of our beds have never been so dust free! The downside it though, until he gets on top of those generally unseen areas, you do have to empty him quite a lot. He has a 0.6 litre capacity bin, which is very easy to empty and keep clean. You will be amazed at just how much he picks up! Worth a mention as well, is the fact he has special sensors underneath which detect drop-offs, like the top of the stairs. They work well, he gets to the edge and just simply turns around. So, there must be some negatives - you must be thinking? Well, the only one I can really talk about is the way in which he finds his way around. I must say that this isn't a game changer for me, I knew it when I purchased, and its not that big a deal. But, he finds his way around randomly. So each time he detects an object which makes him change direction, he will simply, turn and go. I don't think that there is any thought to it. What do I mean by that? Well, the more expensive robot vacs have proper mapping technology. So they map out each room, and learn the layout of your house - and this makes the finding of the charge point a much more efficient process - as the device 'knows' where to return to straight away. With Eufy, when he drops to low power mode, he has to continue his random was around the house until he detects the signal from the charge base, and that seems to be a line-of-sight affair. We have found him flat on occasion having not managed to find his way back before the battery has given out. But it really is no big deal as 9 times out of 10 he makes it back home. The other issue, I'm led to believe, with not having the mapping, is it apparently makes him less efficient when cleaning. As with mapping the device knows where it has been, so doesn't do it again. With random, he cleans everything a number of times. Does this bother me, or cause any issues? Absolutely not. I don't know how the software works, but he cleans everywhere, very well, and as I say, 9/10 makes it back to his charging base without any help. What else can I say about our Eufy? Well, he fully integrates with Alexa, which was very easy to setup, so we do voice control him, sending him home for example, when we think he has cleaned enough, which he will often do in our large house, before his battery is flat. Finally his aesthetics. He looks great! Really modern & high-tech. Sleek back finish, and a high gloss, glass top, with his blue power light, and wi-fi indicator. In conclusion: Would I recommend getting one? You bet I would! Its funny as friends who come around often start chuckling about getting a robot vac, as they know what I'm like with my tech. But that is until they see him in action! Then they all want to take him home! Also if you are a little older and maybe have to rely on some help around the house, this would be perfect for you.

A disappointing experience
I am not a recent convert to robotic vacuum cleaners and have previously been the happy owner of a more expensive brand that is still going strong after several years. I was swayed by the outstanding reviews and apparent value for money offered by the Eufy 30C. Initially I was very happy. It is straightforward to set-up and for the first four months of ownership performed quite happily with a programmed slot, vacuuming my hallway daily and returning to its stand without problems. The need to empty and clean the device was entirely aligned with my experience of my earlier purchase. The functionality to use the Eufy app is interesting initially, but I found it unnecessary. After four months dedicated service, my Eufy has developed a significant fault. Initially it started persistently emitting four beeps and displaying a continuous red light which, according to the panel, indicates the rolling brush is stuck. After checking carefully for debris and even removing the brush, the problem persisted. Eufy was inoperable. I contacted the support email, who sent a test protocol asking me to try without the brushes which I did and the problem remained. I was then asked to perform the test and video the beeps. I did this - it was not without problems as I needed to compress the video to send it, as requested, by email. I then received a message that a new battery had been sent to me as it is possible the problem could be the battery. I replaced the battery, thanks to the helpful video sent by Anker. Unfortunately, my problems amplified at this point. What had been a 4 beep problem became a multiple beep problem. My Eufy can no longer perform in that it vacuums fine initially, but after a very short period of time stops and beeps forlornly again. I no longer have a 4 beep problem - it can be one beep (wheels stuck), two beeps (side brushes stuck) etc. Despite everything being perfectly fine to the naked eye, its warning systems have become incredibly sensitive. I contacted Anker again, who have asked me to make a new video. I have declined. In summary I was initially very happy. However, based on my experience, the value for money is not there. My purchase produced only four months of service. The support team is responsive but not helpful. You need time, necessary tools etc. The onus is on the customer conducting repairs which in my case have not worked. The experience is not what I expected. Perhaps I am an outlier but if I am, I would have expected an even more dynamic response from the support team.

Great timesaver
The Robovac has exceeded my expectations already! It easily navigates the floor, rugs and any obstacles left on the floor without getting tangled up or stuck. The slim design means it can clean under the sofa and beds, and the magnetic boundary strips allow you can section off areas that you don't want cleaned or to section off rooms, etc. Setup is quick and easy, and the Robovac can be paired to the wifi so it can be operated remotely or to a set time schedule through the EufyHome app or Alexa if you have one. It also comes with a handy remote control which allows you set it to work at the simple press of the button which is great for a quick clean or to spot clean. Emptying the dust box is quick and easy and the capacity is plenty big. As an added bonus, the RoboVac returns itself to the charging station at the end of each clean so it's always charged when you need it. The RoboVac takes up a lot less room than a standard upright hoover which is great if you're short of space. Overall RoboVac is a great piece of kit at a great price for the level of functionality it provides.

Super silent. Cleans well.
Very silent. Good value for money. Cleans well (we have a lot of pet hair, dust and sand). Easy to use. We have lots of tables and chairs which is not ideal for this vacuum cleaner (doesn’t map).
