excellent hobbyist's welder
this is an excellent product which works very well, superb value for money. does exactly what it says it does. some complain it won't hold a steady arc at low amperage, I have not found this plugged into 220v (used as low as 40 with no problem). it has exceeded my expectations and is well made

great little welder
ive put a couple hours on this machine, running stick, and so far its great. Its very compact like a shoebox on its side and feels like its well made. includes a 220 to 110 adapter, ground, stinger, TIG torch with cups and collets and a button cap and larger rooster tail cap but no tungsten. ive yet to get my garage wired up for it so ive been using the 110 adapter that was included on a normal household outlet. excellent penetration on 1/8" mild steel at 80 amps with 3/32 7018 rods. its got a 35% duty cycle at those numbers using the adapter so it will trip the breaker if you run for more than a few minutes continuously. so either get your workspace wired for the 220v or just run it in 2 minute bursts wating 5-10 minutes in between. do not have any argon so havent been able to try out the TIG function yet. will try to update when i do

Can't get arch to start without sticking first
I'm having huge problems and would welcome any help. I was simply trying to tack a few spots and get a few puddles going to get used to the machine but can't get it to arch without touching the metal which is ruining the tungsten every time. I know, it's a lift start. But, it won't start an arch. Now, I need a coupler for my gas which I wasn't using but it should function fine just trying to do what I was trying without the Argon. Does the button on the torch work or not? Mine seems like it's stuck, but the button isn't supposed to work for lift start anyways, right?Update: Why do they advertise this as lift arc? It is not! I'm very unhappy with the performance. Lotos or Uweld, whichever company really makes these needs to stop this false advertising. You can not do intricate welds with this welder. At least supply a torch that can be used with a button on it to initiate the arc. Total WASTE OF MONEY.
