Had more than 1 use
Nice set, comfortable, variety set at a good price. I’m sure it would work great for painting as it’s well made and bristles are high quality. I use it when sculpting to smooth out the sculpted hair and to brush away the clay pieces when in crevices without damaging the piece.

Approved for any artist brush collection
Perfect for the fine details. The brushes have held up well ! Yes I would buy them again as a gift for artist/sculptor/creator FOR SURE!!! An artists would NEED TO HAVE these brushes for fine details, there is no doubt!! I am glad to have a mini paint brush set, there’s a large variety of brushes, and the brushes are well made and durable for years to come !! The brushes give an artists EVERYTHING THAT THEY NEED TO MAKE FINE ART, WITH FINE DETAILS. Go FOR IT !!

Few were frayed on arrival.
They’re not as small/fine as I would have liked, which is okay as I have another set for more extreme detailing, but a few did come frayed (the sizes I needed to use the most) which was a bit of a shame. Oh, well. I tried using them as is, but when you’re doing fine details with sharp crisp curves and lines, each bristle matters. They hold paint well and were comfortable to hold, but the bristles move easily. I would have preferred them be a bit stiffer, but for the price? They’ll do the job. I’ll probably try to heat/warm the bristles up some to see if I can flatten them to be more straight and less frayed (since they’re synthetic). If it doesn’t work, oh well, because the bigger round brushes and two flat ones are useful as I’ve definitely gotten my money‘s worth out of the set with them. I’d say they would be a good addition to have on hand as backups.

Comfortable to hold and a nice variety of brushes
These were a nice set of brushes. There is a wide variety of sizes. The flattened part feels great when holding the brush, and I found it helped reduce hand/finger fatigue. However, if you're somebody who likes to roll a brush with your fingertips, a completely round brush may be more to your liking. I don't use them for painting, but instead use them for dusting tiny items for macro photography. I can't say how well they hold up with repeated cleaning. I'm happy with them and if I needed another set, I would purchase them again
