Anne of Avonlea (Vol 2) Paperback – June 15, 2016

It's really unfortunate that I have to write a bad review for a good book but the printing is terrible. Whole parts are missing and in the beginning of the book a large section was repeated. I've never read it before so I don't even know what's missing just at the plot skipped and didn't make any sense because a large chunk was gone. Buy this book but buy it from another publisher.

My girls (10 and 13) have been working their way through the whole Anne of Green Gables series. They find these books much easier to listen to than to read themselves. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that the reader for this particular audiobook CD is a little lackluster, but that hasn’t stopped us from enjoying it. I recommend this version if you have need of an audiobook CD.

Do not buy this version. The words are out of order in the kindle book. It is impossoble to read and must be some sort of conversion problem.

While not an "animated" sort of reading, the reader does change her voice a bit to reflect the different characters, and you get caught up in the story. Nice to listen to while you are doing dishes or something else that uses your hands, but you can still listen!

An all time favorite. I read the books when I was a girl and now my granddaughter is enjoying them. Had my doubts about the updated version as I loved the old Marilla and Matthew, but the new version was well acted and very touching.

This was a present for my mother. She has macular degeneration, but the print was sufficiently large (she called it "extra large") that she could read it with little difficulty. So five stars for giving her several hours of reading enjoyment. The book was delivered quickly and was a nicely bound paperback.

I had read the book years ago. It was very enjoyable having it read to me! I am well pleased.

Great for young friend so can enjoy reading this follow up to Anne of Green Gables.

The font of penguin classic is too small
