I used this to add a trim switch on my transom to be able to trim it up/down without getting back into the boat and going to the helm. Took a bit of finagling to wire it correctly but the switch works great!

This is exactly what I was looking for, a 2 position momentary switch. You can rock it forward to make 1 contact and backwards to make a different contact. The switch automatically goes back to neutral. The switch itself takes a very firm push to engage, and it feels very sturdy. The wires are substantial so there is no issue with the metal breaking. The ends of the wires have a round quick plug on them. I just have to figure out the best way to anchor the switch as it was not designed to go where I want to put it. The 3 wires (one common negative and one positive for each contact) are roughly 22 inches long.

This tilt switch fits right in, making replacement a breeze. It only took a few minutes to complete the repair.
