DR StringsAcoustic Guitar Strings, Black Beauties - Black Coated, 10-48

Been using DR strings for a long time. I decided to give the BLACK BEAUTIES a try on my bass first. They are awesome and made my bass look badass. The sound is also amazing. After having great results with my bass strings, I decided to get them for my acoustic guitar. The sound and the look are amazing. Great quality strings

I don’t play much but the black coating is wearing off the high E string, had a pair of elixir or something and the black never wore off and I had that string on there a LONG time. Granted it was the low E string and I do stick my pick in between G,B and E the strings stay in tune well though. 4 stars

I ignored some of the other comments about these strings losing their color and all that and I bought them anyway. I am so glad that I did. They sound great and have a nice slick feel to them. I have had mine for several months now and they are showing no signs of losing their dark black color. And I am here to tell you that I play that guitar every single day, for two or more hours at a time. I highly recommend them.

Less than what I expected. Would not use on anything other than art, I felt that the sound was disappointing.

These are a great playing and sounding coated strings for acoustic guitar without feeling like nylon strings.

These strings do sound really good (better than I expected). Being such a light gauge, you will lose that deeper tone. You get that with any light gauge string though. I would give it 5 stars if the coating didn't wear off so fast. I knew that it would wear fast due to pick wear from strumming, but the color immediately began to come off. In about a half hour it was gone on the part of the string that contacts the pick.*update. I'm dumping these strings. The black coating is coming off really bad & they just look like crap. They sound fine but my beautiful guitar looks hideous. Never again. Downgraded to 2 stars.

Excellent strings. They look cool. They sound awesome. And best of all...they stay in tune really well. I will but plenty more of these.

I put the strings on the guitar on Saturday evening. I dont use a pick and less than 48 hours later the bottom 3 strings have started to shed their coating revealing the silver underneath.It hasn't been played hard and probably only 2 to 3 hours of light playing.Its a real shame actually as they look incredible on the guitar but sadly they're merely decorative.

Nice strings. Sound great on my Les Paul Gothic. Black is just coated so it wears quickly from your favorite positions, but that happens with any string and was to be expected.

I really like the strings. They sound great and very easy to tune. Easy on the fingers. I will buy them again.

They look good but sound awful

great sounding, very easy to play 1 issue the black finish will quickly come off the #1 string (looks bad)
