5***** but it's cheap junk and won't last
I needed a "pleather", not cloth so I can wipe the dust and possible spills off and it will be the emergency place for guests to crash if all the beds are filled. I wanted a light brown and I couldn't decide between the tan and the medium brown and I really wish I had gotten the medium brown because this is a pasty tan. It's a cheap, plastic futon and I wasn't looking to spend money on comfort: it just needed to look nice. It's replacing an outdoor, folding, beach recliner. There is absolutely no padding in the seats at all so if I was using it everyday I'd expect it would last a year before it was terribly uncomfortable. The seats frames would become an that you were sitting down into when the really sparse amount of padding sags and compresses into nothing... and it will very quickly if it's sat on everyday. It's really easy to put together and it's sturdy so long as you are gentle when moving it as it wants to bend at the middle connection. It is big enough for an average adult to sleep on and the big and tall will just have to hang off of it a bit. It's great for kids to sleep on but not to play or bounce on or they will get hurt and the futon will break. The material will wipe clean and it's not slippery to sit or lay on, and it's not squeaky like some pleather furniture is. There's so smell and it's looks pretty in my space. Again... if it's only used occasionally, it will last a good long time but it won't last a year if it's being used everyday because the small amount of cushion is has, will compress into nothing very quickly. I'd recommend using a yoga mat on the seats to bridge the middle seam between the seats if you're napping on it because the wood frames of both seats are not padded sags a yoga mat on it would make it comfy. That's what I'm doing. I'm planning on using it for a nice place to nap in the screen porch during our 3 months of summer. So I'm expecting to get about two maybe 3 years out of it before it goes to the dump. When it's not opened as the futon for my nap it will just sit there and look nice as a sofa because no one will actually sit on longer than a half hour or less. I would not recommend this for everyday or even va few times a week. BUT I give it 5* because it's perfect for what I'm using it for - breezy summer time naps, maybe 6 times a year.

Honest review — I'm happy with it, but it depends on how you use it
Okay, I knew I was taking a chance by buying this, after extensively reading all the reviews. Here's my honest assessment: 1. Yes, it is a cheap futon, and has the potential to look cheap, as others have shared. Yes, you get what you pay for. And with the right styling, a budget-friendly piece of furniture doesn't have to look cheap itself. After consulting an interior designer, I learned the following: Cheap furniture only looks cheap when it is surrounded by clutter and/or other cheap furniture. If you place it intentionally with other statement pieces and with a more minimal approach, it can actually look chic (while saving you money). 2. Yes, the center stabilizing leg holes weren't fully drilled, as a lot of other people reported. However, I found that when I used the screwdriver from my basic IKEA toolkit that included a screwdriver base with interchangeable heads (instead of the flimsy tool included in the assembly package), I could drive the screw in just fine without the use of a power drill. 3. Thankfully, mine arrived without damage or scratches, as others reported. I wonder if it's a function of the color you buy, and how they are stored? 4. The white futon is pretty white to me, although others reported that it has a light pink hue. I can sort of see that faintly, but honestly it's true white enough for me. I was worried that when it was around all my other white decor, the pink would be obvious. But it's fine. 5. The futon isn't terribly heavy, but I would recommend two people to carry it. I did manage to carry it up a flight of stairs alone, but I had to drag it across them. It came with a light cover cloth so the stairs didn't do too much damage, but there was definitely some dirt on it by the time I got to the top. But with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and a bit of multi-purpose cleaner it was back to new. (A bonus of faux leather — easier to clean.) 6. Yes, it is hard. I knew that going in, and actually, I prefer a firmer, straight surface for my back. My bed is memory foam and super soft, so I wanted something I could hang out on during the daytime (before I was just laying on a yoga mat on the floor). That being said, the firmness should be taken into account, and this is maybe not the best choice if you have elders in your home or anyone with more limited mobility, back problems, etc. Same reasoning goes for the height, I love the lowness of it as it feels more Japanese tea house inspired, but that's not for everyone. And even though I'm hanging out on this during the day, not sure if I would spend a whole night on it (or ask anyone else to). Unless you or your guests are one of the fortunate natural flat-back sleepers who prefer a firm mattress, it wouldn't work for side sleeping very comfortably. 7. Overall, great furniture solution for my small studio apartment and I'm happy with it. This couch was my substitute for a white leather Nicoletti loveseat that I've been coveting for ages, but I didn't want to spend $800-$1k on a couch. This was the right compromise in the end. Hope this review helps! Good luck to everyone in their interior decorating adventures.

Some of you are being way too hard on this little guy.
Is it the largest most comfortable couch in the world!?...... No! Let's put things into perspective though, this is a $180 couch! I had three expectations when opening the box 1) be a couch 2) be easy to assemble 3) not be broken, that's it! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five, is because one of the legs was broken. However, it was fix-ably broken, just the small plastic end piece on one of the legs. I was able to call the superintendent he helped me superglue it back on and we were good to go. It was mildly inconvenient at worst, still as stated before I expected it to 'not be broken'. For those of you complaining about comfort, quality and/or style; what exactly where you expecting when you typed "couch" into the search bar, then selected "price lowest to highest?" I was expecting to spend at least $300. For $180 this is amazing! Also, the fact that it can hold up to 500lbs blows my mind, I wouldn't try that, but apparently a few people already have, and it didn't fall apart. In short, I absolutely recommend this couch to anyone who is A) single B) poor or C) both. I do not recommend this to anyone over 6 feet tall who is planing to sleep on it. It's only 66 inches long, since I'm only 69 inches long, I can sleep with my legs curled. Taller people might not be able to pull that off.

Not great, but great for the money anyways.
I needed a small couch for my "dude room," and was tempted based on the price and average four star review. I became hesitant after looking further and seeing a lot of negative reviews, but I became less concerned once I got it and put it together. Pros: If you're using it for a guy room or dorm room, it's cheap and it gets the job done. The faux leather actually looks halfway decent. If it's something you're just going to be using to take up space and sit on every now and then, it's a great value for $200. It's also pretty easy to put together too. I also don't think it's nearly as uncomfortable as most reviews are saying. If it was your main couch, then yeah I would agree it's uncomfortable. But if you're just going to use it sporadically or have a guest sit down with you for a little bit, then it's fine. It's about the same comfort level as a couch in a waiting room or a nice one at the airport. Cons: It's clearly cheaply made. The fabric underneath the couch ripped just by zipping apart the little storage compartment. The "armrests" are little cushions that barely velcro to the sides. The cupholder that drops down is wobbly and guaranteed to spill your drink if you actually used it. It's clear to me that this thing would quickly wear down under heavy use. That isn't going to be a big deal for me because my office chair gets way more use than the couch ever will. But I would NOT use this as a living room couch. This is absolutely not the thing to get for anything beyond a guy room or dorm room. If you buy it for something that it's not, you won't like it. If you know what it's for, then it'll be fine.

Buyer BEWARE
Can I give 0 stars? Buyer beware!!!!! If you do ot keep everything, INCLUDING the box, you can not get a refund. And believe me, you WILL want a refund. It is extremely uncomfortable. The back screws came out so the back would not move together, which caused the metal brackets holding the back together to break. The legs are also flimsy, one of the front legs are broken, JUST like so many other reviews! I want a refund for this PIECE OF JUNK! Stay COMPLETELY away from this scam of a company!

Love the blue color ! It's stands out so nicely in my apartment
I really love this , it's a great futon couch perfect for an apartment; worth the price tag ! I was going for something else before but glad I chose this ! It take 1 hours to 1.5 hour to assemble but it's really nice ! Different than the soft couches but it's worth it and especially if you dnt want to spend a lot ! Grateful for this

The Couch That Tries Its Best (But Fails as a Nap Destination)
Let me introduce you to the Best Choice Products Faux Leather Upholstered Modern Convertible Futon, Adjustable Folding Couch—or as I now call it, The Nap Trap. This couch is like the chihuahua of furniture—compact, sturdy, and slightly judgmental when you try to get too comfortable. It fits perfectly in a small space, making it a great choice for apartments, offices, or that random corner of the room where you don’t know what else to put. As a couch, it does what a couch should do: Looks sleek and modern Holds up well to sitting and lounging Folds down technically into a bed But that’s where the betrayal begins. The Nap Test: A Cautionary Tale One afternoon, feeling a little sleepy, I thought, Why not test out the futon’s “convertible” feature and take a glorious nap? Dear reader, I regret everything. This futon folds down in theory, but it turns into something that can only be described as a very firm suggestion of a bed. It’s too small for an adult to stretch out comfortably, and unless you enjoy sleeping in the fetal position or waking up feeling like you’ve been doing an extreme yoga challenge, this is not the place for you. The faux leather doesn’t help either—it’s the perfect material if you want to slide off onto the floor mid-dream. Durability: Built Like a Tank (a Tiny, Unforgiving Tank) To its credit, this couch is surprisingly sturdy. It holds up well to daily sitting and the occasional frustrated repositioning when you realize yet again that this isn’t the place for a cozy nap. If you need a firm, modern-looking couch for guests to perch on while drinking coffee, it’s perfect. If you need an impromptu bed? Buy literally anything else. Final Verdict Would I recommend it for someone who just needs a stylish, space-saving couch? Yes. Would I recommend it for anyone who has ever wanted to nap comfortably in their life? Absolutely not. Final Score: 2/5 – Great for sitting, a nightmare for napping.

Très beau futon et très bon service.

UNCOMFORTABLE, QUALITY LOW
It is very uncomfortable, the quality is low, on some edges the fabric has already started to wear out and break, so I don't think it will last very long. I would recommend buying another one because this one is very expensive for the type of quality it has.

Total Rip Off
It looks like a couch in the picture. But in real life it will fit in a large dollhouse. When the Fed Ex guys dropped it off my jaw dropped! I said "Is that my couch?" then they said "Is this a couch?" It was in a small flat box and the Fedex guy "rolled" it to my apartment. I assembled it and I was rolling my eyes after! It looks really dinky in my living room! I paid $660 Canadian +85$ tax. $745. I really felt cheated and I was going to send it back! Then. I would have had to pay the shipping back. And since it was used a couple of times, I was afraid that they would find some reason not to give me a full refund! Since the couch would be in their hands, there wouldn't be much I could to after! So, rather than lose 3/4 of my money, I decided to keep it. Lesson Learned! As I mentioned earlier I really felt cheated by the price. Now, they raised the price to $879+114.40 tax= $994. https://www.amazon.ca/Best-Choice-Products-Convertible-Cupholders/dp/B08FLHCKL9/ref=sr_1_175?keywords=Best+Choice+Products&qid=1666550552&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjcwIiwicXNhIjoiNC43OSIsInFzcCI6IjEuNTkifQ%3D%3D&sr=8-175 No more big ticket items by 3rd parties anymore! If it were Amazon, they would take it back no questions asked and provide me a label.

Not what it appears
It's size. It's smaller then you'd think it would/should be, it's way to low to the ground. It sits lower then my ikea coffee table.
