Was my daughters favourite book.
My daughter loved this book and still has her copy 23 years later. Now my Grandson has a copy and every other child I know. Beautiful book

A lovely story
Bought it for an online story for my pupils. Amazing book with a good heart beautifully illustrated. Great for 4/6 year olds.

There are a whole series about Lily and her VERY best friend "Blue Kangaroo"Beautifully illustrated and appealing to all ages both grown up and tiny!When Lily is given new soft toys by well meaning friends and relatives... oh dear..."Poor Blue Kangaroo" what will happen to HIM??Buy these series of books and find out.Cannot recommend highly enough.

truly lovely
My 7-year-old daughter borrowed this book from her school library and just loved it! Then one night I was reading the story both to her and my 2-year-old son and he absolutely fell in love with this story-- so both requested the book for Xmas! Just lovely, heart-warming...an endearing story that speaks to children of all ages!

Lovely book
This book is perfect for perfect for any child with a favourite doll they like to carry outside the house. The illustrations are very good and offer lots of opporunities to expand vocabulary to discuss what is happening.

Beautiful book though i didn't realise from the description that it was a board book rather than a paper version. My granddaughter certainly didn't mind since the story was still the same.

A book for story time in school.
A lovely reassuring story for small children. As a librarian in a primary school, the whole series is a favourite with the younger classes. It also fits in nicely with a PYP unit that the Grade 1 children do about toys.(IBO Primary Years Programme)

A nice story
This little girl has an old, blue, stuffed kangaroo, which she abandons when she gets some new stuffed animals. Blue Kangaroo is very sad and lonely. The little girl ends up going back to her old favorite at the end of the story.My 23 year old daughter came home looking for this book in her old room. She still loves the story!

This one is a Keeper!
Chichester is a wonderful children's book writer. I collect children's books and this is one to collect. Pretty pictures and a gentle kind story for little ones. I order it for my 15 year old as a keepsake gift . . . it was her favorite story for many year. (She loved the gift.) Enjoy reading!
