Seed Needs Pumpkin Seeds to Plant Spooky Mix Pumpkins (Bulk) | Heirloom Non-GMO & Untreated Vegetable Seed Packet (Cucurbita Mixed)

I planted these last week, and they are already sprouting!! They are such cute little sprouts and my kids are loving! I'm definitely not a gardener and I have no green thumb... but I thought pumpkins would be fun to get for them to help with and also when they grow, hoping they will be here for the fall season! I also heard they thrive in hor climates, which we are in.. so perfect for not having to take care of them as often, but also a good and small responsibility for my babes! I definitely suggest these! I'm not sure what these look like in person, but liked that they looked different. So hopefully they continue to grow healthy so we can see them when they're fully grown! These are multiple types of pumpkin (we did get another pack as well though that was a single type) so there is many variety in this pack, but the sizing looks great and hoping to share with our neighborhood! A definite must if you want to grow pumpkins, price seems a bit hight for the one pack, but worth it for the experience with littles! Can't wait to see what all sprouts from it and eat yummy seeds!

Every year, I try to grow something new, especially when I have more space. This year, a section of fence measuring 8'x13' came down and killed the grass underneath before I could get it repaired. I decided not to sow for lawn but to open that up for veggies and I thought I'd try pumpkins. I didn't know what varieties to choose so I got this packet. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I hadn't really prepped the soil other than some composted cow manure. I started the seeds and some of them came up right away but others took longer; overall, I think that almost every one that I started came up. I do intensive gardening so I set them out 18" apart. I was genuinely surprised when they started to grow! Eventually, the vines from the bigger seeds reached the house (at least 20 feet) and I got at least one pumpkin from every plant I put out. I had more of the Cinderella-type pumpkins and they set a number of fruit; the baby pumpkins also set quite a few. This was definitely a learning experience for me. I think I fertilized them twice with Miracle-Grow and made sure they got watered every other day. To start the seeds, I set them overnight between some damp paper towels then used jiffy-pots and biodegradable bags over a heat mat and I think that helped with the germination (as opposed to starting them in the ground). I just pulled all the plants for the compost pile and found a few baby pumpkins hiding in the mass of leaves and vines. There was a good assortment of sizes and I gave most of them away. If you can deal with the vines: redirect them or trellis them, you should try pumpkins. This was an excellent value and a great way to get started with pumpkins, just use the smaller seeds- those are from the smaller varieties. Happy growing!

I had 34 stunning strong happy pumpkin plants sprout from this package of seeds, they grew beautifully and quickly. Every variety represented, sprouted and grew in my compost & mulch mix. Howeverrrr, Please take every precaution you know of to prevent vine borers and squash bugs from setting up camp, or the quality of these seeds will not matter. Trust me. :/ I did get one actual pumpkin before they all died in extreme weather later in the summer, but that's not the seed packet's fault! Ive tried to grow pumpkins 3 years now, this was the best one yet.

This did not come packaged separately which really made me mad at first because I had specific plans for the lay out of my pumpkin patch. I separated the seeds by size and then planted them. They have all grown into healthy plants bearing pumpkins and I am very excited about the unknown aspect now!

Started four seeds indoors way too early! 100% germination. Eventually gave away three plants. Theyre no small feat to keep going when theyre born at the end of March in zone 7b. Couldn't take em out until May, and even then had to cloche them from our whiplash weather this year. This tropical plant survived the challenges! I wouldn't plant them so early again. I gave three away; hope theyre thriving in their new homes. Mine is flourishing. Now at transplant I sat the root ball on mycorrhizae and mixed crab and bonemeal into the planting hole. Drenched it with humic acid and molasses and side dressed with plant tone. It got molasses, humic acid and fish emulsion weekly until female flowers. Then I switched off the emulsion. And added raw potassium and ammonium sulfate to the mix every ten days. Behavior: plant growth exploded! It went everywhere. I do mean everywhere. Leaf canopies the size of a medium waterlily and about 24inches tall. I planted it 10ft from the back of my 20x 30 garden. There are now vines atop the trellis in front of said garden. Young fruit everywhere and then it dropped the babies. After about the 15th dropped fruit. I did research and realized I needed to prune aggressively, so I did. I pruned approx 15 to 20 runners, the pollinators found the flowers and the fruit set. Squash/gourds are voracious feeders. Feed them, they grow and produce. Be prepared to prune secondary and tertiary runners and snip the tips of runaway vines. Weekly with clean shears. I now have 4 pollinated fruit growing rapidly from this plant and it keeps pushing more. But im limiting the quantity to improve the quality.

Can’t believe I only planted these 4 days ago. This is insane. I soaked them in water for 10-12 hours because I read that would help them sprout faster and it definitely did. Can’t wait to see if I can be successful in north east Florida. We will see! I’ll update closer to Halloween.

Great germination, plant grew wonderfully, even had 9 small pumpkins growing. They grew to pie pumpkin size and started ripening. So…not jack o lantern. Will still enjoy the harvest, but was hoping to grow our own carving pumpkins this year. Bummer. Photo is the first pumpkin I picked a tad early to finish ripening inside next to a zucchini for size comparison.

Excellent quality seeds and a wide variety of species. I will edit once I reach harvest, as of now it's been extremely enjoyable to see how big they have gotten.
