Not impressed
Looking at this hub you see 3x fast USB ports and 4x USB2 ports and you think, "Okay a four port fast hub, with a four port slow hub hanging from one of the ports." No such luck. The USB-C port furthest from the cable (see pic) simple isn't a USB-C port, it seems to have access to 5V power but no data or even PD, I also discovered that this non functional port will cause the hub to power on if connected to a charger (the other C port doesn't).It is clearly a power socket, you can't count it as a hub port! The remaining USB-C port does at least appear to work as a USB port as do all of the other ports

Almost every usb option you might need, BUT not the fastest on the street
The hub can be plugged into a usb-C socket or, using the included adapter, a usb-3 (or, I assume, usb-2). The hub has 1 usb-3, 4 usb-2 and 2 usb-C sockets.Tests were performed with a 'doubled headed' usb menory stick, with a usb-3 plug at one end and a usb-C at the other, a Windows laptop with both usb-C and usb-3 sockets and a well known speed test utility (see photos). The usb memory stick is acceptably fast via the hub, compared with direct insertion to the PC.Photo P1, P2 = speed test via the hub, it mattered little what combination was used. All hub sockets (C, 2, 3) returning much the same speed both with and without the C-3 adapter.Photo P0, last = speed test in PC socket (without hub). Much faster, but speed via hub is still acceptable. For the price, a penny under £7, this is a real good buy, BUT don't expect the same speed as a a 'native' socket.

Reliable and well-built
This hub is a lifesaver for laptops and PCs with very few USB ports available. I have been testing it for weeks, and the product provides reliable and fast connection for charging, data transfer or wireless receivers. It's worked with my HP computer and Lenovo ThinkPad without any issues. The item seems to be built with good quality materials and has a reasonable, user-friendly design. The hub is Plug and Play, there's no need to install anything. Very much recommended, it's great value for money.

Lets you plug most of your devices into a single laptop
So many different sockets! I work on a lot of laptops with limited connectivity and this makes life so much easier. It's well-built, stylish and small enough to fit in a laptop sleeve along with your machine. And because it's USB 3, the sockets are all powered so there's no need for a seperate external mains adapter. Note though that if you plug it into an older USB 2 socket, you shouldn't plug more than a couple of devices in - and definitely no more than one device that needs a lot of power like a mechanical hard drive. You can use it either with USB A or C sockets, because it has a supplied converter that stays attached to the adapter cable with a rubber lanyard to avoid losing it. I wasn't able to make it fall over even with three memory sticks, a mouse and two external SSDs. This is a device professionals can rely on.

Not good enough
When plugging this in using the usb-c connector, the fit is not quiet snug enough. The connectivity keeps being lost due to the fit just being a tiny bit too loose, which is really annoying. When the device is propped up underneath, to ensure that it's absolutely flat, it works well enough.

Works well and fast enough
Works very well for all that I plug in. Blue-tooth, additional memory and flash drives, lights, speakers and mics etc. All fit nice and snugly with no problems.Excellent for home or work.
