I have purchased similar before, and don't mind spending extra to get the French made clips, as they tend not to break hair and are easy to use. This clip had a bit of style and I knew I could use often. But, was a little disappointed that the edges of each petal were not smooth, but rather sharp. Not awful, but I have expected better finish, with a molded Barrett. Also, one of the "petals" had a small flaw, was not totally smooth, but nothing I cannot live with.

This item was broken,company wonderful and sent me a replacement immediately. I love the clip ,new one works HOWEVER I returned the broken one as asked to Wholefoods amazon return have the receipt however still have not been refunded.
