Russell Hobbs Electric 0.85L Travel Kettle, Compact Design, 1000W

Really impressed with this little kettle. It’s compact but does exactly what you need, perfect for camper van life. I originally bought it as a backup in case the gas runs out, but I’ve ended up using it all the time when hooked up to campsite power. Boils quickly for its size, doesn’t take up much room, and the included cups and spoons are a nice touch. Ideal for a couple of brews without dragging out a full-size kettle. If you’re short on space or need something reliable for travel, this does the job spot on. Simple, practical, and worth having onboard.

I bought this kettle very recently for a trip to Italy where the hotels do not provide coffee or tea in their hotel bedrooms. It was a life changer! Lightweight, compact & with the added bonus of having 2 plastic mugs & spoons stored in the kettle which many makes do not provide. A great product.

This Russell Hobbs travel kettle has come with me on two trips so far one to a caravan park and one to a hotel and honestly, it’s been a game changer. I drink a lot of tea, and relying on hotel kettles (or worse, no kettle at all) just wasn’t working for me. This one is compact but doesn’t feel flimsy, and it boils water quickly for such a small thing. The two little cups and spoons that come with it were a nice surprise super handy and they tuck away inside the kettle itself. I also love that it’s dual voltage, so it’s one less thing to worry about when travelling abroad. Great for camping too. It’s simple, practical, and just does the job without any fuss. Would definitely recommend if you like your creature comforts when you’re away from home!

Great little kettle, took it abroad with me so the cups and spoon were an added bonus. Larger than a typical 0.5L travel kettle so easily does the 2 cups. Definitely a good buy !

Bought this for a recent holiday. It comes with mugs and spoons that fit inside the kettle. The water boiling process starts off slowly but it was one of my best purchases this year. Love it.

I bought this travel kettle to take on holiday to France, used it to make hot drinks in the ferry cabin. It works well, not too noisy and acceptable time to boil a full kettle. My reason for 3 stars is as follows. Mainly because of the weak hinge on the lid. The lid is a very tight fit and as it is pulled up the hinge twists which I think could easily cause it to snap. As others have mentioned it does still have a strange aroma despite being boiled at least 10 times. I'm a bit concerned about a dark mark that's appeared on the inside bottom of the kettle, looks like the area where the element is. I hope it doesn't indicate a problem! I don't understand why it's supplied with two tiny, flimsy plastic cups and spoons, I am reluctant to poor boiling water into them and they are also too small provide a decent cuppa.

Useful little size, does take quite a while to boil. With hand problems lid is fairly stiff and difficult to undo. But generally a good product

This is a nice little jug. Testing it today it boiled one coffee mug of water (300mls) in 1:57 on my rig of 200AH LiFePo battery and 3000W inverter. I have an Australian wall plug to replace the UK wall plug, but find that the UK to Australian wall plug adapter is a good tight and snappy fit, so will leave it at that for now. The jug looks like a quality item, and a satisfactory acquisition.
