Fantastic Kit – Fun Build & Great Support!
I’ve been building and customizing guitars since the early '90s, and this kit was an absolute blast to put together. My wife surprised me with it for my birthday, knowing I wanted a Les Paul-style guitar that I could customize. She chose the Fesley DIY LP Style Electric Guitar Kit with a mahogany body/neck and a flamed maple veneer top—great choice! The kit included everything I needed, and assembly was smooth. After building it, I gave it a matte black finish with a chrome splatter, replicating a guitar I used to play on stage back in the '80s.Once set up and fine-tuned, it plays great—the neck is fast and comfortable, and the hardware and electronics are solid for this price. Honestly, it holds up surprisingly well next to my Epiphone Les Paul Custom.Great project, great price, and awesome customer service from Fesley. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced builders alike!

Plays great.
Assembly was easy, but be sure to examine the photos carefully. The directions aren’t like LEGO. You might install things backwards or use the wrong screws.I did not use the included strings. I used a set of super light nickel strings. Plays great.I’ll probably buy another one of their models. For the price, they are very good quality.

Great customer service! Great guitar!
EDIT: I didn’t receive any of the screws required to assemble the guitar. It was very disappointing. So now I just have a disassembled Guitar and all of the parts but no way to assemble it.After my initial review, they responded promptly and mailed me out replacement screws. This company had excellent communication. The overall product is great and will be fun to assemble.

Solid
Happy with the kit - I bought it for the neck and body which are great. Neck fits tightly into body with no slop and it’s perfectly straight. Body is in good shape and routing was all good. Some of the pre drilled holes didn’t line up with the pick guard I bought - but I’m sure it would have worked well with the one that came with the kit and it wasn’t a big deal. I can’t speak to the hardware since I didn’t use it but it seems fine. I recommend the kit.Update: One month in the nut snapped on the low E string. Not the end of the world but you might want to put a better quality nut in if you plan to buy this kit.

Best kit guitar ever!
If you are going to try a guitar kit, this is the one to get. The instructions are extrememly thorough and loaded with pictures, the quality of the kit is top notch. I was contacted by Fesley and made aware that, unlike other kits I've gotten from overseas, they have customer service available to help. I've purchased other products from this company and plan to be a repeat customer.

If Looking at Kits this is the One!
I got the telecaster style to make a Christmas gift for my nephew. Worth the money 100%. That being said here's my experience with this kit.1. I wanted to do a green burst stain. It turned out looking nice, but not really a classic burst, as the mahogany doesn't stain so well in that way. I was really happy with how it turned out, just not a burst if that's what you are going for, find something with a maple face.2. The build quality is top notch. You can easily sand off the FESLEY on the headstock if you want to. The pickups honestly sound better than my Schechter that is a far more expensive seymour duncan setup. It really has a classic Telecaster tone. I was a little sad after I gifted the finished guitar and will probably buy one for myself.3. Only part I felt was a little cheaped out was the tuners, but if they put high end tuners in this would be a $200+ kit and probably not get to people who it needs to from a marketing standpoint, and really buying better tuners is easy enough.

DIY fun educational build
Just buy it! I thoroughly enjoyed assembling and finishing this guitar. I bought it because I needed the educational experience and there is something to be said about creating your own guitar. Is it a high end Strat, no. Is it a guitar I would gig with, eh perhaps with some upgrades. But it has become my favorite guitar to play and it feels nice in the lap and the finishes are smooth and the guitar is very user friendly. Assembly was an absolute breeze!I can’t wait to build the tele next!

Woodworking skills required. Not plug and play.
I thought this was going to be a project my son and I could assemble in an hour or so. Unfortunately, I had to use a router and chisel to fix the poorly fit neck. Once we got the neck to fit properly, we had no other issues. If you do not have woodworking skills, I would not purchase. If you do, you will have a decent guitar for the price.
