Great for high mileage vehicles and air cooled engines that run hot!
I keep the high mileage stuff for my onan generator. Not that it has high miles or hours on it, but because it's slightly thicker. This is a great oil for winter operations. I would be very careful using it in a car - as it is slightly thicker compared to non-high mileage oil in the same grade. 75k miles these days on a car is not a whole lot! I would more use it on cars with 200k+ miles (high way) or 100k miles city (all city miles). Since it is thicker it can cause leaks from the rear main seal, it can cause seals to fail prematurely as there are conditioners in their that causes seals to swell up. If your seals are already at 100% and you add this, it will bring the seal to 120% and cause it to fail. It is a good oil but I would suggest to be careful, the label is misleading, as again 75k miles on a car (especially all highway miles) is not a lot. Smooth operation. Synthetic blend, so I would stick to a 5k mile (city) oil change interval or a 7.5k mile highway oil change interval. In my generator it works great and I change the oil every 100 hours or once a year. I rarely use it more than 15 hours a year. The oil always comes out the same color it went in. Good on gas, fuel efficient. Same noise level as regular oil. If you have a slight tick from your engine this may quite it as it's slightly thicker than regular oil in the same grade. Good affordable oil for high mileage vehicles. Good value!

I have been using Castrol High Mileage synthetic blend for over 25 years on my 2000 Ranger (10w-30), my 2008 Hyundai Accent (5w-20), and now my recently acquired 2009 Honda CRV (5w-20). My Ranger now has over 302,000 miles and my Accent has over 210,000 miles, and both are running better than expected for their mileage. My "new to me" 2009 Honda still only has 97,000 miles on it, and I am confident that my Castrol will take me for at least 150,000 miles if all else works out!
