This thing is sturdy AF. It works perfectly. Im not a fan of the software that comes with it but its good enough. I do think the they could have added an adapter for using a smartphone as a camera. Plenty at lower price points do. But this was the only one I could find that can hold and ipad pro that comes with a remote that isnt $200.

If you've read any of the other reviews of this teleprompter, you've heard this story already. The teleprompter hardware is pretty okay. The app and accompanying remote...not so much.I won't belabor it. I was lucky to find another teleprompter/app combination that is simpler and more reliable, so I'll be working with the other one instead.Sorry Iloknzi.

This is a wonderful tool for laying down spoken word audio tracks on video content for your social media videos. For some reason I am unable to read text from paper while doing the audio tracks for content. The lines blend together and I lose my place. Then I get frustrated and then have to re-do parts of the track because it sounded wrong for the overall tone of the video. This teleprompter really helps me set my own pace and limit my view of the text to just the portions I'm actively working on. Making it so I can complete a session without having to redo sections because "it sounds angry". Since it works with a tablet it also allows the editing team to adjust text in real time making it easier for those wishing to do more live steaming events. Good price and so far I've not had any real issue with it. (I mean you'll need to play around with the background of the text to address any ghosting due to the glass thickness, but black text on white backgrounds seems to work ok.)

The material is cheap, but you can manage with it. However, the application is malfunctioning, and it's really frustrating to upload text, resize it, and position it correctly for this teleprompter. On top of that, I can't understand why they need all your personal information when the app is so terrible!

This review should be considered two separate reviews - one for the hardware and another for the software.First: hardware. I'm impressed with this teleprompter. It was one of the least expensive of the options on Amazon, but the quality, fit and finish is outstanding. The steel base is well finished, with no rough edges or sharp corners. The camera base is height adjustable and easily accommodates the Canon Vixia camcorder I plan to use. The mirror frame secures firmly to the base with no wobble or instability, and the hood secures to the mirror frame on three sides with hook and loop fasteners. The whole rig packs into an attractive zippered case that offers good protection to the contents. This hardware gets five stars.The software is another matter entirely. I downloaded the S-Teleprompter app on both my phone and tablet, and it's essentially non-functional on both. Response to touchscreen buttons is either slow or completely absent. The included remote, which functions only with this app, is totally hit-or-miss. Sometimes the buttons work, sometimes they don't, and sometimes they do the wrong thing.I was able to import a script document in .docx format and as .txt, but not as rich text. The slider to change font size doesn't slide, but jumps form 24 to 56 or so, while the buttons to change font and background colors may work, but with long delays. This software is primitive at best.Finally, a caution. During installation you get warned about how much of your personal information will be harvested - far to much for such a single purpose program, in my opinion.Concluding, if I can find another app, such as the open source app QPrompt, that will serve my needs I'll keep the teleprompter because the hardware is so good, but if I'm forced to use the included app it all goes back.

I picked up the ILOKNZI i2/12-inch All-Metal Lift-Up Teleprompter as a first-time user. Having recorded several 100 videos without one, I guess it's about time to start.The ILOKNZI comes in a nice zippered case where inside you find the two pieces; a bracket that houses the glass with the hood, and a metal bracket for the tablet and camera, along with a remote, and user manual.It's super simple to set up; literally attach the bracket that houses the glass and hood to the base and set it on your tripod or recording surface, place the camera on the bracket pull the hood over the lens, place your iPad or tablet with the downloaded app, load your script, turn on your camera, hold the remote and begin recording.Overall, for the price, this is a home-run teleprompter. Yeah, it's not as nice but most others cost 2x or more what this one does and it does it all the same.

I did not have huge expectations, but I was worried when I downloaded the app and it did not seem to work in landscape which is needed for a teleprompter. But came to find that once you load the text, there is a function that turns it to landscape and mirror. The app works enough and I found you just need to play around with it to get the right speed and font size. I am using an old 10 inch Lenovo tablet and so far it has been great. I can see the screen clearly and no ghosting.So in the end, my first impressions are positive, especially at the price point. I got this on sale for 53.99 so can't really beat that price. This is really more of a toy for me and so far it has been fun.
