ibili 810400 "Clasica" Foldable Tin Plate Bread Toaster, Silver, 20 x 20 cm

I ordered this over 3 years ago for my RV. I camp often, probably 12-15 weeks per year, and I use this toaster 1-3 times a day. It takes a few uses to learn how to perfectly toast bread/bagels/muffins/etc., but it's easy once you get the hang of it. I can even toast frozen toaster strudels and they come out perfect! My friends have different portable/foldable toasters and none of them work as good as this one. After regular use for 3+ years I can confidently say that this is a great product.

Perfect! >>>>>>>> My wife threw away the last camp toaster we used on a gas grill when the fold-up spring wire pooped loose and one of the pieces of bread fell on the ground and the other caught fire on the pan.... We love our toast, and the Ibili flat toaster plate works as stated. I put (2) slices of home made sourdough bread on the plate and put the gas flame control at halfway. After 4 minutes the slices were crisp but not scorched. I will try leaving the slices on next time to see if they turn golden brown, but I was more concerned this first time that the product just made crispy dry toast, and it fdid that perfectly. After use, the pan plate was not warped or discoloured. Great product!

Smaller than expected. Was dented in on one side. Works ok, just wish the surface area was greater. Edit: Had for 1 month. Rinsed it off and washed a bit with soap and left in drying rack LIKE EVERY OTHER DISH. Came back the next day and it was COMPLETELY RUSTED! Don't buy! A total waste of money!

Used twice so far on my propane RV stove. Nicely toasted and quick. No warping. Handle folds easily and stayed cool. With all the rust complaints, I will only toast bread and will not wash. Just wipe with paper towel and shake out crumbs. No discoloration yet, but I do not care what color it is. Adjusting to new campground with no AC plug in. Removed electric toaster and Mr Coffee. Toast and percolator coffee done on stove was great.

Notice the discoloration on the mesh, that was after two uses and it kept getting worse, and the plate warped concave too. Also at first the edges of the bread got charred before I really had 'toast'. I got the whole thing to work better by keeping the temperature on the gas stove pretty low, then I could leave the bread on longer for more color, but it took a while. The handle works well, it doesn't get hot and holds the plate securely. Most importantly for my minimalist life, it's small. For years I toasted everything straight on the gas burner but I was hoping to minimize the mess with this thing, which, it did do that. In summary, with patience I could get warm bread with a crusty surface, and isn't that Toast.

The corners of the bread are burnt whilst the center of the slice was untouched.

Efectivamente, el tostador al segundo uso se quema, deforma y ennegrece. Si lo que buscas es usar el tostador en un pase de modelos no lo compres. Si lo que buscas es tostar de esa forma tan especial como pasaba en nuestra infancia se hacía con fuego o con resistencias que se ponían a 10.000 grados, con su poquito quemado y el resto en su punto, esta maravilla de plancha lo consigue rápidamente. Si aún tienes un fuego de gas es una pasada lo que hace.

This was the best camp toaster I’ve ever used. Toasts the bread very evenly. I have a Coleman propane stove. Quick and efficient.
