Used to snorkel in Maui, just right, no riding up. Felt comfortable and was able to just have fun. Lost a lot of weight and felt great in this. Review: Great skirt! - I’m really impressed with this skirt. The shorts underneath fall mid-thigh on my 5’4” frame and the skirt falls about an inch longer than that. It is not as long as the picture. The fabric on the shorts and skirt are the same and the thighs are tight enough to stay put but don’t dig in along the hem (and I have thick thighs). It comes to my natural waist and fits a curvy body well. It fits better than the sporty skirt 3x the cost that I tried and the material feels just as nice. I bought this as a swim skirt, but I like it so much that I’ll probably wear it as leisure/casual wear as well. I have a 39” waist and 48” hip, wear a 16/18, and the XL fit perfectly.

Great mid length and shape; slight puckers, but worth it
This is one of the few skirts I could find in a nice mid-length with shorts underneath. I am of the age (57) that I want a bit more modesty and leg coverage, but not too long to look frumpy. The fit is nice. The shorts are just snug enough but not too tight and don't seem to ride up. They are just a bit shorter than the skirt, so perfect length for coverage without showing. The skirt is just barely flared, but not too much - mostly straight. With my large hips, I don't need anything that flares much. As someone asked, the sides do pucker a bit (you can see it slightly in the photo), but this doesn't bother me enough to return. The pros outweigh this con. The little pocket is not in the best place for me...it is on the back, just behind my hip, where the skirt is the most snug, so it shows bumps through the outer layer. I will probably cut it off since I have never needed something like that before (or maybe cut off and sew back on in the front where there is more room). For sizing and fit reference, I am 5'9.5" tall, 167 lbs. I normally wear a 14 in jeans, sometimes a 16 (though not so much since I lost 18 lbs) as I am pretty wide in the hips. I usually need a long in pants, but not always. My waist and leg lengths are pretty proportionate for my height. I got an XL in this skirt. You can see from the first picture that it hits just below my belly button, and a couple of inches above my knees. The second picture shows a full-length with the swim top I will be pairing with it, for reference on scale. (Please excuse my extreme whiteness in the pictures! That, plus my age and weight, are reasons to be a tad more covered up than the average person! Haha) I haven't been swimming in this yet, but I did walk around a bit. If my opinion changes after swimming in it, I will edit this review. So to summarize: PROS: Nice length; good fit; good length and coverage in shorts; nice shape to skirt CONS (why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars): Slight puckers on side; pocket shows bumps under skirt Update after wearing to the beach: Still love this skirt. If I could give it 4.75 stars, I would. The puckers virtually disappear when it is wet, but they are still there now that it has been washed and drip-dried (although slightly less). I put my driver's license in the little pocket and it stayed secure all afternoon, even sitting and wading in the water. I found I don't mind the pocket as my swim top mostly covers it. I did wear a pair of swim bottoms (high-waisted bikini style) under it...it didn't really need it, but going to the beach you just never know...might have to strip it off to get sand or some little critter out! It was still very comfy. I felt so comfortable in this skirt. So much better than I have felt in a swimsuit in a long time. I highly recommend it.

Perfect combination of skirt, short and swimsuit.
This is what I searched all summer for!!!! I tried many Scott’s but nothing fit right. I wanted something I could paddle board with and leave on after to go do other things. It is a heavier swimsuit fabric so it looks more like a skirt but dries quickly like a swimsuit. It is longer than other skirts so if you are a bit more modest but don’t want to look like you’re wearing a skirt to swim in this is perfect. The shorts are longer than most too so they don’t ride up. The skirt is also a bit straighter than others which I like. I am short (5’) and A line skirts make me feel even shorter. I am buying another one as back up.

Comfortable and fit perfectly
I love this skirt. It made me feel so much more comfortable at the water park. The shorts underneath were long but not longer than the skirt. Folding the waist over right helpped it lay better. It was a little puckered on the sides but not a big deal. My one piece underneath was totally comfortable. The pocket was a bit annoying to me to I cut it out, but I can see reasons someone may use it. Love. I tried too many bathingsuit dresses and skirts before this and I'm so happy with this skirt.

Great value and product!
I wore this on vacation. I searched for a longer swim skirt and found this one with biker style shorts attached underneath. It worked out perfect. I wore it while swimming with dolphins. It stayed on well and I liked that it was modest. 2 down falls that would not effect my choice to purchase again if it was available in other colors... 1. Sides do pucker slightly. 2. Did not dry quickly.

Very nice skort! Runs a tad large, though.
The measurements in the description are off by about one size. The first one I bought was too large, so I returned it and got the next size smaller, which fit perfectly. What I like most about this skort is that it is a little longer than most other similar "sport skirts/skorts," which works for me because I am tall. It's a great skort overall: It's simple, flattering on narrow or wide hips, lightweight and not too hot to wear (even though it's black). I haven't used it as a swim skort, but I have worn it walking and hiking. It could also easily be worn when running, too. It has a hidden key/ID pocket that hangs between the shorts and the skirt (you have to pull up the skirt to access it), with a secure overlapping hood that will keep a key or ID card from flying out when you're running, while remaining hidden from view. The seams are reinforced and the general construction is sturdy, while still being a lightweight garment.

I love the length of the skirt BUT
I love the length of the skirt BUT......I don't like the shorts showing below the skirt. Maybe I just need to try to keep pulling the skirt down and pull the shorts up. The fabric is fine and the size was what I expected so that's all good. Just wish the shorts were shorter underneath.
