I have been using this particular brand of mustard seed for about 5 years and finally writing a review. The seeds are smaller than what I was familiar with. They are also brown and not black. I like their color and lack of bitter taste. They are never rancid, but perhaps that is because they are stored in a good back from the seller. I trust the Frontier brand and try to use all of their organic items. You are well served to buy this seed from them and use in your Indian cooking.

This product is much better than what is available at Indian stores in the USA. The seeds were clean and perfectly sized for Indian cooking. The mustard flavor is flawless. I use these mustard seeds to make home made garam masala powder that needs to last for 6 months and I could not have chosen a better product.

This was just the right amount and type of mustard to make a large batch of German sweet-sour mustard for Oktoberfest.
