This computer is a great size, durable, easy to set up, and compatible with the office suite programs I needed it to run. It runs fast and portable enough to put in a day bag. Great for school, keeping notes, and office basics. It folks back completely to hold like a tablet, but maybe a little heavy to hold like one for long in your hands, not a big deal to me. The battery lasts a long time so I can get all my reading and notes done in multiple sessions without recharging it. It's an excellent value.

this is the perfect option for one device. I use as a tablet to read books, and use as a laptop for everything else, it is rugged and just the right size to carry with me but still be functional. I have had it for 6 months and have had no issues at all with it. I love it and use it daily.

Wrote this a month ago: A great little computer. Feels very sturdy, and is small. Will be good for traveling. Update: After 4 weeks wifi disappeared (works on other computers in same building). Spent MANY hours over the last 2 weeks on the phone and on "chat" with support people from Lenovo and Amazon (mainly Lenovo). Several different support people tried to fix it remotely. Next step is to have a technician come out. What this will end up costing Lenovo is no doubt much more than the laptop is worth. The wise thing would be to send me a new one. But no, because the 30 days return window has passed. Meanwhile I've wasted many, many hours. And still don't have a working laptop. I must say, however, that all the various support people were very nice, and did their best. The problem is the return/exchange policy, when the thing breaks down just after the return period has passed! Will I buy Lenovo again? Depends if they fix it next week. New update: Lenovo sent a technician over who fixed it. Apparently it needed a new wifi card (why a new laptop needed that, I don't know). But it's all working again.

Well, my Asus T104 tablet is obsolete after 7 years of use, so it was time to replace. I needed something small to keep in my locker at work. I wanted another Asus transformer tablet but alas, it is not produced any more. I looked and looked for an affordable replacement, and didn't care if I had the latest technology. Anything newer than 7 years would be an upgrade for me. I wanted more memory than my old one, and didn't want to spend a fortune. I found this Lenovo, which was a BIG upgrade in memory for me. I hadn't heard of the seller, but took a gamble. I'm happy I did! This tablet is BRAND NEW, however is a 2 year old model. I don't care, still new. I contacted the seller, and Rachel there helped me out. She told me they would restart the warranty with Lenovo starting my purchase date so I would get the whole year. A great laptop, rugged made for students, but also great for my needs. They upgraded the memory in these to 12RAM/512SSD. Will buy from Issaquah Highlands tech again! Very happy! Also of note! Has touch screen, but there is not an active stylus with this, they supply a plain one. Battery not great, but i usually just plug in. For $350 it's great.

*****UPDATE 2 YEARS LATER***** I will pre-empt this with the wifi card. If your wifi card won't work, remove it and reinsert it. It's easy to do, about the same difficulty as changing the SSD only no need for cloning or reinstall of software. I only had to do it once over 2 years ago and documented it in the original review, but it seems to be the bane of many a reviewer's existence. Here it is up top for all passerby to see. 2 years later and it still works and does what I need it to. The death of Windows 10 kills most of the productivity of this machine if Windows is all you use. It hogs SO BAD with Windows 11 that it's unbearable. Even with nothing running after fresh install (I thought maybe the upgrade went poorly) the CPU is over 30% at idle on average and the computer always runs hot. Battery life dropped to about an hour, hour and a half tops. Ubuntu has also grown 'heavier' over the years. While it used to run significantly faster than Windows 10, U26.04 performance is about the same as Windows 10 used to be. Ended up getting rid of dual boot entirely and went with Mint 22 XFCE edition. Performance is back and thanks to Steam doing Steam things, most of my 'Windows Only' games run just fine. Touch screen functions well but does not scroll with dragging like Windows or Ubuntu, and when changing the orientation, the touch screen no longer works accurately (This problem does not exist in Ubuntu and Win 10/11). Another note for those thinking of running Linux, the hinge sensor for tablet mode doesn't work. The keyboard and touchpad will not deactivate automatically upon folding to Tablet Mode. Not a deal breaker for me but I do think it's worth noting. Computer no longer runs hot unless I'm pushing it and for regular use battery life is back to about 6 hours (It is over 2 years old now and the battery health shows it has about 78% of its original capacity; that 8-12 I previously claimed is but a pipe dream now, but that's normal wear and tear) If I'm playing a game it drops to about 3 and a half at the very worst. Probably will replace the battery at some point in the coming years, but for now all still works as it should and I plan to see if he'll go a decade. Especially since the official replacement for this is perpetually out of stock and when it is available, is over double the price while also having a lot of the ports (Most glaring is the micro SD) removed. The only things that have broken on this is one corner of the bottom plate (D'Oh! on my part, forgot to loosen that last screw...) and the stylus's top handle broke (Not a part of the laptop itself, but I will say my opinion of it went from questionable to disapprove. Save the $50. All in all, would buy again today even with 2 years of advancements in newer computers simply since nothing replaced this and I still find it to be king of its size class. Also, I'm upping the review from 4 stars to 5 stars for how it has held up. ORIGINAL 08/2024 REVIEW with 38 'likes' upon update I like it. Went with the 8GB/512GB model. It's about as close as you can get to a netbook or a netbook sized windows convertible for a reasonable price these days. If anyone here purchased one to replace a netbook, or has used one at one point, you know that this thing is INFINITELY BETTER than one of those. I retired my Asus T-100 that i used to use for light office work, web browser/youtube, and VNs. A 10.1" size class detachable that served its purpose for over 10 years. By todays standards, woefully underpowered @ 2GB ram 32bit atom and 32GB emmc. BUT, in its day, that was actually halfway decent for a small windows tablet. A netbook of the era had 1GB ram or less and had 7starter or XP. Moving along, this will have no problem running Edge, Outlook, and a light duty game (think Crush the Castle, Bloons 6, DDLC, Kingdom Rush, Henry Stickmin, etc.) at the same time, even in battery saver mode. It just takes some time to load initially. Make no mistake, despite my glowing opinion of it, it is not a fast machine relative to anything from the last 6 years with the Core i5+ or Ryzen 5+ series, but those are all in the 13"+ size class computers. This is more of a fella that will duke it out with a Surface Go. For the price, you get a lot more with the Lenovo, and it comes with the keyboard. I like the big boy bezels, when reading VNs in tablet mode I have some real estate for my hands to hold it without accidentally clicking the touchscreen. I did have to put a matte screen protector on it. Ain't no fun staring at my ugly mug whenever I'm trying to read. I also had a 14" 2020 Flex 5 ryzen for day to day use, I gave it to a family member and got this as a replacenent for all purposes not better done on a gaming desktop. This is significantly lighter, more portable (despite being a 2.4" smaller screen wise, it's only about 1" smaller chassis, but it does make a notable difference in lugging around) and while it doesn't feel premium, it doesn't feel like I need to baby it. Build quality is decent for the price, the Flex 5 was more than double the cost and had more chassis sag if held one handed. Very serviceable. Had to remove the bottom to tighten the hinges and remove the stylus plug cover (I HAD TO ORDER THAT SEPERATELY, THIS SAYS IT COMES WITH A STYLUS, BUT IT'S NOT THE STYLUS LENOVO OFFERS) speaking of the active OEM stylus (not the generic passive pen included), its very skinny and reminds me of a longer DS pen. For extensive use this may be a problem for some. Its also very recessed when docked and you need long fingernails or a pen to flick it out. It does work well, though. Touch screen works as it should both on Windows and Linux, accurate and responsive. Storage looks to be easily upgradable, battery looks easily changable. I throw it in a bag and take it back and forth to work every day without any worries. The only build quality issues I've had were the afore meantioned loosened hinges (easy fix), and the wifi stopped working after 2 months. Windows claimed there was a hardware issue, even on a rescue disk, Linux simply didn't acknowledge that where was wlan at all. After a few hours fussing about with settings, I took the wireless card out and put it back in. Seems to have fixed the issue, its been a few months no problems now. I've seen no complaints of this elseware, so maybe just a fluke. Battery life stunk initially. About 2-3 hours and running hot and slow, 4 hours at best with battery saver. Reinstalling windows and disabling most startup programs made a world of a difference. I also have it default to batterysaver whenever unplugged. It now runs cooler and lasts longer than advertised, about 8-12 hours depending on what I'm doing with it. Mind you, this is with DDLC/MAS running in the background (or foreground) at all times. Sorry if this is a meandering ramble. Overall, I'd recommend it if you've read all this and still think it could be a decent option. For what I expected and intended for it to do, especially relative to what I upgraded from, I am very happy with it. There's slim pickings, especially from a reputable brand, in this size class and budget.

First impression, loving it. Thought it came with the pen but you buy that separate. Anyways working well, love all the features. I'm happy and content with my purchase. Yeah sure I could complain about the battery life, but why I love everything about the laptop. It's touch screen, great value, perfect size for our use. You know being picky I'd say just wish it had the number keys. Besides that this is a great purchase for a school or casual use laptop. Update I lied about the battery This laptop is everything I could ask for 😘😘

I love this little computer. I wanted something small to do my writing on. I don't plan on cluttering it up with anything else. The picture is beautiful, it's nice and compact, easy to take anywhere. It's fast, setup was a breeze. I've only had it a few days so I can't speak to longevity, but I trust the Lenovo brand to make an honest product. I couldn't be happier.

Love the durability and size, but the 8 gb RAM is very slow and unable to upgrade to a higher RAM because it is soldered in. Who does that? If I could have upgraded it, I would have given this a 5 star review because it would have worked wonders for my needs - but is very limited now and sorry I purchased it.
