ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

The quality was abysmal. The page border were coated with some cheap golden material, which has cooled and made the pages stick together. And it also started sticking to hand when we tried to pry the pages open. Amazon delivery was ontime with no issues.

Good book. Not as good as some of the other Fingerprint Publishing products. Paper is thin.

Fingerprint Classics continues its pattern of amateurish and unprofessional publishing. Their lack of familiarity with the material they publish is evident. No scholar or serious student of Greek philosophy would categorize Aristotle's 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 in isolation here. Attempting to read 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 without prior engagement with Aristotle's book 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘌𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘴 risks missing the foundational ideas that underpin Aristotle’s political thought. Moreover, Fingerprint’s editions offer only literal translations with minimal context or critical insight, falling short of the standards set by established academic publishers. They literally copy paste a translation and leave it there. It is important to note that 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘴 is primarily a work of political analysis rather than philosophy in the broader sense. Aristotle examines constitutions and civic structures, aiming to articulate principles for an ideal state. By contrast, Plato’s 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 engages philosophical inquiry more directly, while Aristotle addresses ethical philosophy comprehensively in 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘌𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘴. In conclusion, for those serious about studying these texts and diving into Greek Philosophy , I personally recommend investing in editions from reputable publishers ( such as Penguin or Oxford ). Although these editions are more expensive, they provide the necessary scholarly apparatus and contextual understanding. Stepping into Greek Philosophy with a book like this with just a copy paste of the translation and nothing else, would make most of the content go right over your head. Fingerprint attempts to mask its shortcomings with decorative covers, but substantive quality is lacking. Cheers.

Good read

I haven’t started reading the book yet as still working on separating the pages that are still fused together on the top and bottom. I would ask for an exchange, but as it arrived wrapped , without being able to speak to somebody I don’t want to go to the effort to replace it for a book with the same problem. Please note this star is for the finish of the book as opposed to the content.
