Beware
First, it’s not real Damascus steel. They are sharp. The handles are nice. The block however, is angled upwards so if it is placed underneath a cabinet, you must pull the block out to remove a knife. I got these on sale for $90 so I will keep them however, if these were full price I would be returning them.

Nice set, but handle finish coming off
Really nice set, love the handle shape specifically. Knives are sharp and of good quality, but the handle on one of the knives seems to have the smooth finish come off only after one use and cleaning. The handle did get grease on it from dinner and I hand washed with a very mild detergent, and it seems the smooth finish has washed away (is a little rough to the touch) and the color has lightened. The other handles I've been careful not to do anything but wipe with water, but that is certainly not ideal cleaning procedure. Glad I caught it on one little knife first.
