I have been greatly enjoying boiled eggs cooked with this egg cooker. Can boil up to 6 eggs or poach up to 3 eggs. Comes with a measuring cup that has a needle at the base for puncturing eggs (make them cook faster). You need to use oil or similar on the tray for poached eggs so they don't stick to the tray. Cooks eggs in 3 min to 10 min depending on how runny you want the yolk. There is a loud alarm that sets off automatically when eggs are cooked. Sleek design. Cooks the perfect egg. Amazing value for money. Easy to use and comes with instruction booklet. Less water added = shorter timer & more runny egg.

Works well, neat, nice and simple (everything is done by varying the amount of water added - switch it on, wait for it to boil of the water, job done!). No need for fancy displays, buttons and controls. Boiled eggs in varying numbers, soft or hard, and poached eggs worked well. The instructions imply doing only a full tray of 3 poached eggs but I found it was fine with just 2. Get one! I strongly advise covering the markings on the measuring cup with vinyl tape before use, or maybe scratching them on. Mine started to rub off the 2nd time I used it which renders it useless. Philips support were able to provide a replacement right away... but *really*?! It wouldn't have been that hard to make the one essential feature durable enough to last in use.

Third and best egg cooker.

Unfortunately, this egg cooker has been disappointing. It cooks eggs very unevenly, and the design feels somewhat unsafe when handling hot eggs. The lid is difficult to grip properly without risking a burn, so we often have to use tongs just to remove it safely. The water tray beneath the egg rack is also uneven, which seems to affect the cooking process. When cooking a full batch of six eggs, some come out overcooked while others remain undercooked. Steam also tends to accumulate at the top of the cooker, resulting in eggs that are hard-boiled on the top half but still undercooked at the base. Overall, the inconsistent cooking performance and awkward design make this product difficult to recommend.

Works well and good quality, however it does not automatically turns off as cheaper models. There are other options that are better value for money

This boils eggs perfectly. I wish I had bought one sooner. Pros: - So easy to use, just follow the instructions. - Quiet running and finished alarm is nice and loud. - Poaching tray is non-stick, but still benefits from a little oil. - Takes up minimal counter space. - So much easier and quicker than using a pan. - Cooks perfect eggs every time!! Cons: - None.

This is my second attempt at an egg cooker with the first being unreliable so I went with a brand I knew. Works great, simple on/off switch and beeps when finished. It beeps when the water has ran out, that's why it's important to use the cup provided to put the right amount of water for your wanted egg type and readiness. Bargain for the money, simple to use, small enough to tuck away in a cupboard and looks pretty good if on the side.
