The tenuta di capezzana has been producing wine and olive oil since the times of Charlemagne. Today, the contini-bonacossi family have restored the landscape of the area with their vineyards and olive groves so that time seems to have stopped. 2015 tasting notes: this year's capezzana is unlike any we have previously tasted. The aroma is of fresh-cut grass and almonds. It offers a buttery, mild, fruity beginning-grassy and green-that fills the mouth with a delicate flavor of herbs and green olive. On the finish, there is a spicy note in the back of the mouth that is ticklish, fun, and pleasing. Truly amazing.

Good stuff.
The special thing about this olive oil is that it is pressed with the pit intact which makes for a thicker, richer, more flavorful oil. We toured the vineyard in Italy and they deeply care about the quality of their product. Buy one bottle and use it liberally and then buy a case! Good stuff.
